In designing the Bodum Bistro 40oz Electric Thermal Carafe Drip Coffee Maker the engineers at Bodum took a fresh look at drip coffee making. Starting with the removable water reservoir, a powerful spiral heating element and glass tubing deliver the brew water to a plastic and silicone shower head over the coffee filter that lets the brew-water arrive in the filter at an ideal temperature for extracting all of the available aroma and flavor from your ground coffee. The filter – titanium-plated stainless steel and finely meshed – keeps the coffee pure in taste, no paper filter needed.

The brewed coffee then drips into a double-wall stainless steel carafe with a plastic outer housing that keeps the coffee at drinking temperature for hours. The carafe comes with a spout that keeps the heat where it belongs: with an easy press of a finger it opens only for pouring.

The new Bodum Bistro 40oz Electric Thermal Carafe Drip Coffee Maker has safety features that include heat resistant silicone on the carafe handle and the filter. Also it only turns on with the carafe in place so you don’t accidentally brew coffee all over the counter.

The stylish, colorful, compact body of the new Bodum Bistro Coffee Maker is made from rubber-coated plastic and doesn’t take up much space on the kitchen counter. (12.25”D x 8.125”W x 15.75”H)
