I have to say this french press was the best thing I have bought. It was my first coffee maker to buy and 5 years later I have the same one, and used it nearly everyday sometimes twice! Have I had to buy another I would still buy this model again.

Beautifully made product. I have the 8 & 12 cup units, both of which are of great quality and craftsmanship. The glass is of sufficient gauge and "handles" the unintended abuse that is sometimes handed out while in the sink

Michael Rosso ♦ Bugaha I too have had a Bodum Coffee Press for years at my house, and numerous times it has been beat up in the sink by accident.

I am quite happy with this french press, as I am with all my Bodum products. I primarly use it to make large batches of tea for iced tea. I put it in the dishwasher on the top rack and never have any problems with it or the lid / press parts. I also have never broken (or chipped) a Bodum press and I am really not quite as careful as I should be with them. I have made French Press coffee in it as well and it worked well.
