The Bonavita Exceptional Brew 8 cup coffee maker with glass carafe is a German engineered compact full-featured coffee brewing machine. A tinted clearly marked high-visibility water reservoir has a wide-opening lid for easy filling. The controls and water system are designed to meet the ideal coffee brewing standards of water temperature, contact time, and coffee grounds saturation. A unique shower head provides complete saturation of the coffee grounds and optimal flavor extraction from your favorite coffee grounds. At the heart of the Bonavita Exceptional Brew is a powerful 1400W thermal block heater which achieves proper water temperature quickly and releases water only when it achieves the ideal coffee brewing temperature of 200° - 205° F. It can brew up to eight 5oz cups of delicious coffee in under 6 minutes. The glass carafe with its large ergonomic handle sets on a hot plate with a separate 55W keep-warm heater to maintain the brewed temperature without over-cooking the coffee. The hot plate features a 2-hour automatic shut-off for safety. This Bonavita Exceptional Brew coffee maker is certified by the Specialty Coffee Association.
