Don't call it a coffee maker, the Tassimo Hot Beverage System vows to deliver "a perfect cup every time." With a user-friendly interface and sleek design, the Tassimo lives up to its promise in style! This model from Bosch allows users to choose from 13 unique hot beverage brands — conveniently packaged in "T-Discs" — to make over 40 drink varieties with just the push of a button. Available in Red or Silver.
Register your Tassimo at www.tassimodirect.com and receive two Complimentary packages of T-Discs!
With Tassimo's fully automated operation, all you have to do is insert a "T-Disc" and push the programming button to select your desired brew and drink strength; the Hot Beverage System will do the rest. Using patented bar code technology, the Tassimo self-adjusts to provide the right amount of water, brewing time, and temperature for your chosen drink. With an inverse filtration system, which raises hot water into the "T-Discs," the Tassimo allows coffee grounds to be evenly soaked every time, without the use of high bar pressure. Also, its flow-through heating technology and water filtration system will ensure a remarkably fast brewing experience and great tasting beverages.
With an adjustable and removable cup stand, the Tassimo can make real milk lattes, cappuccinos, coffees, cremas, espressos, hot chocolate, and teas to fit most cups and travel mugs. The brew time is approximately one minute and since the actual brewing takes place within the "T Discs," you can make one drink right after another without worrying about flavor transfer from cup to cup
The Tassimo Suprema uses the Mavea water filtration system, maintaining the natural taste and aroma of your beverages. Two cartridges are included with the machine. On top of the water tank lid is an indicator, telling you when it's time to change your Mavea water filter. Be sure to change the Mavea filter every 8 weeks.
The Tassimo is designed to be a space-saving device, with a removable, ergonomic 67-ounce water tank and integrated storage compartments for its power cord and "T-Discs." Dishwasher-safe parts along with an automatic cleaning/descaling program help to make the Tassimo low maintenance for the average user. In addition, this super automatic is energy consumption conscious, reverting to stand-by mode after each and every brew cycle.

I really do like this machine. It makes a surprisingly good cup of whatever it is you're wanting, be it a particular type of tea, coffee, cocoa, or espresso. I've tried the Keurig and liked it, but I consume more espresso based beverages than drip coffee. What drew me to the Tassimo was the ability to have espresso, to include milk discs to make lattes and cappucinos. The creamer discs are made of real 2% milk, not fake creamer. The water has been removed, much like evaporated milk you can purchase at the store. The final result is a pretty tasty beverage that rivals my brother-in-law's handcrafted lattes and cappucinos. And pop in a Milka or Suchard disc and you have a decent mocha. If you like variety or are not sure if you are ready to invest in a super automatic, then the Tassimo is a great machine to own.

It is extremely easy to use and clean. And you can't beat the versatility. The use of the barcodes really does help deliver better beverages.
Use the Mavea filter, even if you have filtered water. It improves the taste of the beverages and helps prolong the life of the machine. Also, clean the brewing components when finished. This will prevent your green tea from tasting like a caramel latte.

All those offered by Tassimo: Gevalia, Maxwell House, Jacobs, Maestro Lorenzo, Carte Noire, Nabob, Kenco, Seattle's Best, Starbucks.
The machine is constructed entirely of plastic. I've already had to replace the brewing component once and am getting ready to do it again. But then, I use my machine more than for which it was probably ever designed to be used! I would also love to see even more varieties of beverages.

This is a great machine if you want something that can do it all but are not quite sure if you're ready to take the plunge for a semi or super automatic. It's ready to go at the touch of a button and will make whatever beverage you desire. I've tried the Keurig and liked it, but went with the Tassimo for its espresso and milk discs. I drink more espresso based drinks than I do regular drip coffee. And the lattes/cappucinos/machiattos it makes are surprisingly good. I was a skeptic until I compared it to one of my brother-in-law's handcrafted ones. I don't know how it can do it as well as it can, it just does.

Versatility. It is extremely easy to use and clean and makes remarkably good tasting beverages. The 2% milk discs are evaporated real milk, so they don't taste like fake creamer.
Remove and clean the piercing/brewing unit and surrounding components after each use. This will help prevent your Green Tea from tasting like Starbucks Cafe Verona.

Have tried all those offered by Tassimo (Gevalia, Maxwell House, Jacobs, Seattle's Best, Starbucks, Maestro Lorenzo, Carte Noire, Nabob).
Espresso variety. I love trying different espressos. The selection they have offers some variety, but it would be nice to have more. Same with varieties of tea. It is also constructed entirely of plastic, so care should always be used. A way to clean the underside of glass covering the barcode reader would also be nice. Mine is getting so cloudy that the barcode sometimes cannot be read. But then, I probably use my Tassimo more than it was ever designed to be used!

Tripple Grande Cappucino, Latte, or Macchiato in the morning, regular drip or a latte in the afternoon. Tea or cocoa in the evening.
Does the $50 mail in rebate included in the price? Or will I get it separately via mail?
Thanks!

Zack Smith Jina, The $50 mail in rebate is a separate from the price of the machine. After you receive your machine there is a form to fill out and send to Bosh. They will issue the rebate.
I'm kinda 'on the fence' about this product - wavering between this and perhaps the Gaggia Espresso pure. I tried the Keurig brewer a yea or so ago but was disappointed. I live in Seattle so I'm spoiled by good espresso and coffee bars - lately I've become a cappuccino hound...
Any pointers on which route to take?

BaristaCorner Hello Rick, I would definitely recommend the Gaggia Espresso Pure. It is a tried and tested machine and has great features for the price. I am sure that you would not be disappointed with the quality of your shots with this machine. I would be happy to go into more detail with you. Please call me at 888-411-5282, ext 5140. Thank you, Eric Black
Can you compare/contrast this unit with the newer Bosch Tassimo T65? Also, are the "T" things that presumably contain the coffee, difficult to find for consumers? Do they have to be ordered on-line?

WholeLatteLoveS S The Suprema and T65 have many of the same features and will brew the same drinks for you. The T65 has the following upgrades: Lighted cup stand, LED ring with Text display, and noise reduction system.
The T-discs are readily available on line or at many stores.
is the tassimo model that's not the suprema as good as the sumprema, except without the water filtration? I've already got filtered water, so don't really need that feature anyway, but just wanted to make sure the cheaper model is comparable. does it make as good and as hot a cup of coffee? is it cheaper made?
thanks so much

TechMilanoItalia Linda, the main difference would be that filtration system. The rest is cosmetic (stainless steel drip tray vs. plastic, different finish, etc.). Other than that they have the same features.
what size coffee cup does this produce? My coffee cups hold just under 16 oz. and measure 5 inches in height.

Tracys ♦ Hi Martha,
The unique thing about this machine is that each T disc is different. Each T disc has a bar code which the machine will read. The T disc will be brewed at a specific temperature and the amount of water will be specific to that T disc creating the perfect drink. You can dial up the height of the cup stand to fit espresso or regular coffee mugs. Removing the cup stand allows for use of travel mugs.
What is the difference between the T45, T65 and the Suprema in the Tassimo coffee brewers? The one you have listed does not have a # attached to it. We would like to order one, but would like to have some info 1st. Thank you.

WholeLatteLoveS S The T45 is also know as the Suprema. The difference between in price that you see is because the T65 has an LCD display and an illuminated cup stand.
Zack Smith Russell, The bosh machine requires that you use the special T-Discs. The machine does not have a way to brew coffee that is not in the disc.
