With the S9 Avantgarde, Jura Capresso did the seemingly impossible and improved upon the Avantgarde’s namesake, the original S9. The biggest change in the Avantgarde is a rotary dial menu control and coffee strength/volume selector, providing an even more user-friendly espresso machine that still offers every feature available. Just like the original, the S9 Avantgarde will grind, tamp, pre-infuse, brew, dispose of the used grinds and rinse itself after making up to 16 ounces of coffee in under 50 seconds – all with the simple push of a single button. The Avantgarde is completely programmable in 7 different languages, allowing you to customize everything from the strength, temperature, and liquid volume of your drinks to the Avantgarde’s start-up and shut down time. And the S9 Avantgarde’s new larger LED display makes sure you always know what’s going on by providing you with messages every step of the way. For even more drink-making flexibility, the Avantgarde offers a bypass doser for use with preground coffee and a special “a la carte” button that, with the help of the new rotary dial, allows you to make whatever drink you’d like on the fly. Both a redesigned Dual frother Plus and FrothXpress Plus System with milk container are also included for cappuccinos and lattes that are as easy to make as they are to drink. And to keep the Avantgarde running smoothly for years to come, Jura Capresso incorporated the Clearyl Water Filtration System as well. Available in a new Euro silver housing, the S9 Avantgarde comes with a Clearyl filter, cleaning tablets, a 7 gram coffee scoop, a quick reference guide, an instructional DVD, and a standard operating manual.
