The DeLonghi DCM900 is a stunning example of a superior coffee maker with its shapely curves, brushed aluminum exterior and an interior design that simplifies the brewing process. This machine features two hourglass shaped carafes placed side by side, which can brew up to 10 cups of coffee in about six minutes. The internal stainless steel boiler speeds up the brewing process, and is heated separately from the hot plate to ensure temperature stability during brewing. The 10-cup glass carafe, with its graceful lines, will keep your favorite caffeinated beverage fresh and hot for hours thanks to a warming plate, which will automatically shut off after two hours. And a “pause ‘n serve” button allows you to remove the carafe if you need a caffeine fix before the entire brewing cycle is complete.

Controls:                                                                      
With just a flip of a switch the DeLonghi DCM900 springs into action. As soon as you press the on/off switch located on the front of the coffee maker a circular blue light will illuminate and the brewing process will begin. Another control featured on this machine takes the worry out of maintaining the DCM900--a warning light, which is located on the front of the heating unit, indicates when the machine needs to be decalcified. After cleaning, reset this light by pushing the appropriate button on the back of the heating unit.

Performance:                                                              
The DeLonghi DCM900 Coffee Maker consistently brews a flavorful cup of coffee, using an uncomplicated, yet very effective process. The DCM900’s modern and efficient design makes it possible to brew 10 cups of coffee at a consistent 195 to 200 degree temperature in about six minutes. This machine also features a showerhead spray that uniformly disperses water over the coffee grounds resulting in a smooth, rich cup of coffee.

The DeLonghi DCM900’s shiny, brushed aluminum exterior adds a classy touch to this sleek-looking machine. This attractive housing surrounds a stainless steel boiler, which heats the brew separately from the machine’s warming plate. This means the temperature of your coffee remains stable, enhancing the flavor of the brew. The cord is equipped with a removable, grooved plastic storage disk for ease in lengthening or shortening, if needed.

 Carafe:                                                                        
The DCM900’s glass carafe has a handsome, heat-resistant handle. The carafe’s lid stays put while you pour your coffee to help avoid spilling even one drop of the delicious brew this coffee maker produces. However, when you’re ready to clean the carafe, this lid can be removed for easier access. The machine’s filter holder is also designed so you can remove the carafe before the brewing cycle is completed. As long as you put the carafe back into its holder within 30 seconds, the brewing process will continue.

Hot Plate:                                                                    
Your cup of coffee is never too hot or too cold with the DCM900’s warming plate. This carafe warmer keeps the coffee at the perfect drinking temperature and automatically shuts off after 2 hours.

Reservoir:                                                                    
Adding water to the DeLonghi DCM900 Coffee Maker is effortless thanks to its accessible water reservoir. It's easy to pour water into the reservoir because its lid opens flat against the machine’s filter holder. The water level of the reservoir is also easy to determine, thanks to the large numbers printed on the front side of the coffee maker.

Water Filtration:                                                          
The DeLonghi DCM900 does not have a water filtration system. To keep this machine working for years to come, we recommend using filtered water to limit scale build-up. You must also descale the machine on a regular basis.

Coffee Filter:                                                               
The DeLonghi DCM900 features a gold-tone coffee filter. This permanent filter makes cleanup quicker because you don’t have any soggy paper filters to empty and remove. However you do need to remove the coffee grounds from the permanent filter and rinse it after every use.

Accessories/Re-order:                                                 
Inclyuded with the permanent gold-tone coffee filter is an instruction manual and a sturdy aluminum coffee scoop. This scoop is always at your fingertips on the spoon rest, located on the right side of the machine.
