Famed Italian manufacturer DeLonghi introduces the Esclusivo EC702, a semi-automatic machine designed with the espresso lover in mind. Regardless of whether you prefer grounds or pods, the Esclusivo can deliver great tasting brews, with its patented Dual Function Filter Holder. The unit’s portafilter can accommodate two separate attachments—the Sempre Crema Filter, which works with ground coffee, and the E.S.E. Filter that can be used with pods.
If you’re a cappuccino or latte drinker, the Esclusivo’s Cappuccino System Frother is sure to please. The adjustable frother has an integrated chamber that circulates steam and milk, delivering a rich, velvety froth. Best of all, since the Esclusivo’s water and steam pressure are controlled by two separate thermostats you can make espresso or cappuccino at the perfect temperature for both!

If you would like to know a little about the many types of espresso machines we sell, this would be a good video to get you started. This video covers the machines we sell and based on your lifestyle, what you like to drink, and ease of use. It will give you an overview of different espresso machines and help you determine which one best suits to your needs.
I would watch the video and focus on a particular kind of machine—prosumer, semi-automatic, and super-automatic to decide which kind is ideal for you. Then, you can go and look at individual models to get a better idea of exactly what you want. Of course, if you narrow it down to a few espresso machines and are still undecided, give us a call and we would be glad to help!

I have owned this machine for about 15 months and usually make two to three lattes a day. The reason that I am on this website is to find its replacement. Right out of the box, this machine made terrific latte and still does. Unfortunately now it makes a big mess too. After a few months of use, it started leaking which got progressively worse. Now, I am emptying the drip pan reservoir daily and filling the fresh water reservoir almost daily as well. I believe the leaking may be attributed to scale build up as the leaking would diminish somewhat after a descaling. I descaled the first time at 6 months - the recommended interval and about every two months after that. The leaking would drop off each time but the improvement has been progressively less each time. I looked into having it fixed under warrantee after about 10 months but the turnaround time was going to be a minimum of 5 weeks and it was going to cost about $30 to ship. I decided to put up with the leaking instead and just use it until it was too much of a hassle. Well, I am at that point already. While this machine is relatively inexpensive, I would not consider it a good value.
I purchased this three months ago and it does not work any longer. I would suggest against purchasing this. It has consistently had difficulty with the water pressure. It does not build up enough to let the coffee through. This has been a waste of money and a real disappointment. When it did work it was fairly ok though nothing great.
I absolutely love this machine!! Im really not a very big coffee enthusiast but this espresso machine is vantastic!
Just got the machine couple weeks ago. Built in tamper, take it off, a tamper bought seperate, far better. Frothing wand, consider stainless steel. The machince works good, makes good expresso. Overall it looks good on the counter, makes small amount of noise when making expresso ma, not bad. The price of the unit was excellent. Refilling water, easy.

I have to say that I love this machine. I've used it for four years now and it has been a good experience. It makes a great cup of espresso. You can get good steamed milk too. It is a bit awkward to steam the milk but that is probably the trade for a cheaper price. Awkward if you are making several lattes but if like me you are making one it is great. Lets say the espresso quality is somewhere between my locally owned and awesome coffee shop and the chain coffee shop that seems to be on every corner.

good results. The espresso has a good "crema". Comes out caramel colored and a good temperature. Flavor is very good. Also it is a reliable machine and doesn't require a lot of maintenance.
I wrote the company and got an extra filter assembly. This makes it easier to make two cups. The customer service was very friendly and helpful.

locally roasted beans. I tend to prefer Sumatran blends.
Also, don't grind the espresso too fine or it has trouble. The cup warmer is a joke. (who uses this feature?) The steam arm can be awkward. Also, I would like to see a timer on it so it doesn't get left on. (anybody have teenagers?) Although I just put a timer on the outlet so it's a non issue for me now.
A krups machine that was similiar (don't know model) and Mr. coffee version that didn't come close. Both while visiting so not for long.

mjackson ♦ mark,
It needs to be purchased within that time frame. You just have to have a receipt showing purchase within that time period. They give you additional time to respond and mail it in.
I am looking at the DeLongi EC 702 vs the Gaggia Revolution.I noticed the DeLongi has a stainless steel boiler and the Gaggia has an Aluminum boiler. Is one a better option than the other .I am trying to decide which one to buy,

A A Mike, Both of the machines work very well to make a quick and easy at home drink. I know there are a lot of people concerned with Aluminum contacting water, but there is no risk with these machines. Both of them heat up very quick will perform well for you.
Hi, I noticed in the video that the shot came out really slowly, which will cause a burnt shot of espresso. Is it possible to regulate the flow in this machine? Also, is it possible to steam the milk while you pull your shots? Seriously, had I not seem the video and realized the shot was coming out like that I would have bought it right away. I understand you need a proper grind for espresso, but I still would like to be able to calibrate it and steam the milk while pulling the shot, it is ideal

mjackson ♦ Carmen,
This is a good machine you actually want the shot to take about 25 seconds to brew. That is a normal time for a shot. It will not be over extracted. You can not brew and steam at the same time and you cant do that with a machine until you spend close to $ 1000. You can regulate the flow by making your grind coarser or finer. For the money this machien actually works very well. I think you will be happy with it.
mjackson ♦ Kasey,
It is a home machine and is made for normal home use. I would not use it for a business. If that is what you are thinking you can make a drink every 3 minutes or so. It is meant for up to lets say 10-15 drinks a day with small sized drinks. Please call us if you are needing a machine for a business and we can make some suggestions.
Isn't this machine:

the same as this one: http://www.wholelattelove.com/searchresults.cfm

Michael Rosso ♦ Frank...Thank you for your interest in the DeLonghi EC702. Delonghi is an Italian company founded in 1902 by the Delonghi family. It had originally produced heaters and air conditioners but has since diversified into small household appliances. It has won several prestigious awards for the outstanding designs of its products. Today, this company can be found in more than 70 countries and has 13 production facilities worldwide. Thanks.
What is the wattage of the espresso maker? How reliable is the DeLonghi EC702 compared to other espresso makers? Does it have a device to introduce air while steaming milk?

mjackson ♦ It is 1100 watts. I can tell you we cant seem to keep them in stock as people do really like them. think it is a good reliable machine. It actually has a steam wand that works well.

mjackson ♦ Cheryl,
I am sorry we don't have that and you will need to call Delonghi. 1-800-322-3848 and they will be able to help.
I own a Gaggia Evolution for which I grind fresh espresso beans. Now, I'm buying a 2nd machine for our vacation home and I plan to use ESE pods exclusively. Would I be better off with the DeLonghi EC702 or with another Gaggia? Or would you recommend another machine that's especially good with ESE pods?
Thanks,

mjackson ♦ Shay,
I would get the Gaggia since you are familiar with the Gaggia I would go that route. Buy the pod only basket to make it work the best. I think you will hapiest with the Gaggia.
