The Espressione Café Roma Deluxe brings a twist to traditional semi-automatic brewing, with a built-in coffee grinder to make it a 1-stop coffee station. The Roma Deluxe does not look like a typical semi-automatic, with the group head and steam wand located on the left side of the machine, and the grinder and control panel on the right. Its unique design means more room for a large drip tray so that you can grind, measure, tamp and brew with less clean up.
It has a large 50 oz water reservoir, 14 grind settings and a fast heating 8 oz boiler to let you create espresso, cappuccinos, lattes and more. The machine also includes professional features like a solenoid valve and a chrome-plated portafilter for café-style brewing. Despite its long list of options, the Café Roma Deluxe is user-friendly, featuring straightforward control buttons and a versatile steam wand to create all of your favorite drinks with ease. With the flexibility to brew freshly ground coffee with 2 different grinder attachments, the Café Roma Deluxe is an all-in-one home espresso machine.
The Espressione Café Roma Deluxe lets you brew espresso the way it’s done in traditional cafés. The machine has a 15 bar pump and a sturdy chrome-plated portafilter to deliver a consistent extraction, but grinding, measuring, tamping and brewing are completely in your control. What’s more, the machine has a built-in conical burr grinder and a 1 lb bean hopper so that you can always have freshly ground coffee ready to brew. The integrated grinder makes the Café Roma Deluxe truly unique, giving you the flexibility to brew traditional espresso using whole beans or using your favorite pre-ground coffee.
With the Café Roma Deluxe, you get 2 different options for dispensing ground coffee. The machine includes a Continuous Flow attachment to dispense ground coffee directly into your portafilter, with a built-in micro-switch for precise control. The micro-switch is a popular feature found on high-end home and professional grinders, allowing you to quickly start and stop the grinder while your portafilter is placed in the holder. The second option included with the Roma Deluxe is a Dispenser/Measuring attachment that can hold and dispense preset amounts of ground coffee. This works like a traditional doser, allowing you to grind larger quantities and then use the lever to dispense pre-measured amounts of coffee. Pull once for a single shot, twice for a double. Both attachments have a slot to hold your portafilter in place, and they pull off without any tools when you want to interchange them.
With 4 control buttons, lights and a temperature gauge, the Café Roma Deluxe makes it easy to grind, steam and brew. The first button on the left is the power button, followed by the brew button and steam button to the right. The button on the far right is for grinding your beans with the Dispenser/Measuring attachment. The machine also has a micro-switch on the Continuous Flow attachment, which will allow you to start grinding just by pushing it in with your portafilter.
The Espressione Café Roma Deluxe can dispense hot water for americanos, tea, hot chocolate and more. The built-in steam wand doubles as a hot water dispenser. To use it, place your cup under the steam wand, lower the steam lever on the left side of the machine and press the brew button and steam button together. When you’re done, raise the steam lever and press the coffee button to stop the flow of hot water.
The stainless steel Maxi Cappuccino steam wand is designed to simplify frothing and steaming, so even inexperienced users can make lattes and cappuccinos with ease. Press the steam button to heat the boiler up to steaming temperature, and when the steam light stops blinking, lower the steam lever to froth your milk. When you’re finished, raise the steam lever and press the steam button again to allow the machine to return to brewing temperature.
The 50 oz water reservoir is located on the back left of the machine, hidden beneath a black cover to match the machine’s finish. The large water reservoir can be filled in place, and it has a max level indicator to help you check the water level. The reservoir can also be removed and filled at the sink for added convenience.
The Espressione Café Roma Deluxe has a temperature gauge on the front right side of the machine. The gauge shows the boiler temperature in both Fahrenheit and Celsius, and it allows you to monitor heat levels for brewing and steaming.
With the Café Roma Deluxe’s integrated cup warmer, you won’t have to worry about losing the delicate heat in your freshly brewed espresso. The chrome-plated metal cup tray is heated by residual heat from the boiler, and it has cup rails to give you a warm, elegant place to store all of your espresso, cappuccino and latte cups.
Housed in sturdy anthracite polycarbonate with attractive chrome-plated metal accents, the Espressione Café Roma Deluxe fits well in modern kitchens. The metal finishes not only add to the style of the machine, but they also add durability.

If you would like to know a little about the many types of espresso machines we sell, this would be a good video to get you started. This video covers the machines we sell and based on your lifestyle, what you like to drink, and ease of use. It will give you an overview of different espresso machines and help you determine which one best suits to your needs.
I would watch the video and focus on a particular kind of machine—prosumer, semi-automatic, and super-automatic to decide which kind is ideal for you. Then, you can go and look at individual models to get a better idea of exactly what you want. Of course, if you narrow it down to a few espresso machines and are still undecided, give us a call and we would be glad to help!

mjackson ♦ Louis,
It is not an E 61 grouphead. I am not sure nor have I seen a bottomless portafilter for the Espressione. I have searched and cant find one anywhere. I am sorry and the only thing to do is to perhaps get the bottom cut off your self locally at a machine shop.
Hi,
I have several questions regarding the Cafe Roma.
First, how long does it take to heat up to operational temperature?
Secondly, I know some machines you have to heat up the milk prior to frothing. This is a deal breaker for me, and was wondering if this model requires that? Do most machines (Gaggias, etc...) that are over $300 not require you to heat up the milk before hand?
When pulling a shot, does the user have to manually turn off the pull when reaching 1 or 2 ounces? Again, do most of the models in the 2-5 hundred dollar price have a manual shot off?
Thanks!

Michael Rosso ♦ Jeff...Thank you for your interest in the Espressione Cafe Roma Deluxe. This machine should be ready to brew in under two minutes. You will not have to heat the milk prior to steaming it (nor should you as it will effect the quality of frothed milk.). In reference to your third question, with all single boiler machines you will brew your shot of espresso push a button (or turn a knob) then let the boiler heat to steam temperature and then steam your milk. Or steam your milk first and then cool the boiler down to brewing temperature (using a cooling flush) and then brew your shot of espresso. Again there is no need to heat the milk before steaming. In response to your fourth question most espresso machine do require you to manually turn the machine off when you reach you desired shot level. I hope this information is helpful, however if you have anymore questions please feel free to contact us directly at 1-888-411-5282 option 1. Thanks.
I need a manual for my Cafe Roma De Luxe espresso machine I moved and lost the manual. The number you told another customer to call doesn't exist, it keeps saying lines are busy 24 hours around the clock.
