FrancisFrancis! has done it again with the addition of the X5. Its angular lines are wonderfully unique, merging form and function for the cost-conscious consumer. This new espresso machine has a brass boiler for long lasting durability. It utilizes an electronic control system to regulate temperature resulting in consistently high quality espresso. It is great for brewing any type of espresso, cappuccino or any specialty coffee drink you desire. Includes pod filter baskets, one & two shot ground coffee filter baskets, a 7g coffee scoop, and the new Francis tamper. Available in Orange, Yellow, Black, Light Orange and Red.

Portafilter
The X5 is supplied with two portafilters. One is for ground coffee and the other is designed to work with the standard sized ESE pods. They are both made of chrome plated brass that keeps the coffee temperature stable throughout the brewing process. The pod portafilter has three separate filter baskets, one for a short shot, medium shot and a long shot. The ground coffee portafilter has a singe and a double shot filter.
Boiler
The boiler is made of high wattage brass that has excellent thermal properties. It heats up quickly and will hold a consistent temperature, this is important for steaming and recycle time when brewing multiple espressos. The brass construction is very durable and resists pitting and scale build up.
Push Button Switches with Indicator Lights
The X5 has three control switches and two indicator lights. The main power switch is located on the back of the machine. When turned on the boiler will immediately start to heat up. The top front switch is the brew switch that operates the pump and is used to start and stop the brewing process. The bottom switch is the steam switch that when pushed will heat the boiler to steam temperature. When either of the front two switches are activated, they are extended out from the machine. There are two indicator lights on the left side of the machine. The top light will be on whenever the main power switch is on. The bottom light is the temperature ready light. This will remain lit until the boiler is up to brew/steam temperature. When the light goes off you are ready to brew or steam depending on which mode the machine is in.
Cup Warmer
Preheating your cups is very important. The X5 holds up to five espresso cups on its stainless steel cup warmer. The warmer is a passive type, it uses the residual heat of the boiler to warm the cups.

Features & Benefits: Frothing and Hot Water
Hot Water Dispenser
If you want hot water for any reason, be it Hot Chocolate, Tea or Americanos it is very easy to do. Just push the pump/ brew button and open the steam wand to dispense hot water through the steam wand.
Steam Wand
The X5 has a chrome plated copper steam wand that comes equipped with a special frothing tip. The tip has a small hole on the side that will suck air in and inject it into the milk for quick and easy frothing.

Water Reservoir
The water reservoir holds up to 48 ounces. It is easily removed from the back of the machine.
Thermostat's and Safeties
The X5 brewing temperature is controlled with very accurate electronic control system. This makes it easy to brew a consistently good cup of espresso. There is an automatic cut off that prevents the boiler from overheating, avoiding damage to the boiler.
Clock
The X5 has a unique feature of having a clock set in the center face of the machine. The clock runs on an independent battery, allowing you to time your shots when perfecting your technique.
Housing Construction
The X5 line has a finish that is second to none. It is constructed of sturdy metal that will not rust. The drip grate is constructed out of stainless steel. The only plastic found on this machine is the removable drip pan and reservoir.
