I purchased this wand for my Francis Francis X8 iperEspresso Machine or what a upgrade. Now it is easy to get perfect foam every time.

Works a lot better than the standard pannarello wand for frothing on my Gaggia Baby Twin. I have no issues getting thick microfoam with it.
Kristen C Thank you for the review and I'm glad to hear you are enjoying your Latte Art Wand!

The Gaggia Latte Art Pannarello Wand fits on the steam tube of the FrancisFrancis X8 iperEspresso Machine, providing a perfect upgrade to the X8 frothing capability. This wand provides an inner small (1/32 inch) hole froth/steam wand that will reach 3.5 inches, to the bottom of the 12 oz frothing/steaming pitcher. The wand also provides an "auto-froth" outer sleeve with a 3/32" exit hole and two 5/32" entry holes. (The milk enters the sides of the outer sleeve, is frothed by the steam from the small hole of the inner sleeve, then exits through the bottom of the outer sleeve.) The outer sleeve also has nibs on the bottom to prevent blocking the exit hole with the bottom of the pitcher, ensuring proper milk circulation into and out of the pannarello wand. So this wand gives "can't fail" or "test your skill" frothing or "no froth steaming" options. I get good frothing results using 4oz of 2% milk or 2% "Real Goodness" lactose-free milk with the "auto-froth" sleeve. My results with the "test your skill" inner-sleeve-only vary from too much froth to too little, but really perfect, micro-foam. (I am pretty certain that I would get better results if I started with a larger quantity of milk.) For my cappuccino, I froth 4 oz of cold 2% milk. Then pull one red medium roast iperEspresso capsule shot of 1.5 oz to the top of foam, then pull one black dark roast capsule bringing the total espresso top of foam to the 3 oz mark. I pour the espresso into a Crate and Barrel cappuccino "bowl with handle" and then add the milk/foam from the pitcher. The milk flows under the espresso great, and then the foam starts to pour nicely. Just when I get excited that I'm able to start drawing with the micro-foam, a giant blob of "Fugly Froth" plops atop the surface making a large beautiful snowy peak surrounded by a nice dark brown 1/2" ring. It isn't art but it looks great, tastes great, and I have foam to the very last sip. It took a couple weeks for the wand to be shipped (comes from Italia special order), but it was definitely worth the wait and worth the price.

I'm very pleased with the improvement the inner wand makes in making micro foam. The wand that came with my Baby Twin worked pretty well but this is outstanding. Too bad it's not stainless steel - it would look nicer. But I'm not complaining.

techkathy Unfortunately it will not. The pipe that comes from the machine it too thick.
Hi, I'm looking for a replacement wand for my Saeco Via Venezia (the garbage disposal ate up my black plastic panarello). I've read around in some forums that the stainless steel pannarello wand is better in creating microfoam compared to the plastic one. Since I am in need of replacing anyway, and I happened to come across the latte art wand, I was wondering if someone could help -

A A Sudhir,
The Latte Art wand is a great upgrade. It is plastic, but it has the inner wand (the part on the left of the picture) that will allow you to froth your milk more like a Barista without it inserting the air automatically. I have used that wand for a long time on a Gaggia Classic, and loved it.
Hi, I currently have the stainless steel panarello wand and I am having some trouble with control of microfoam (getting mostly big bubbles). Would the plain wand inside the sleeve of this wand be better for making microfoam?

mjackson ♦ Samir,
Simply put yes. This is exactly what this wand is designed for. It will create great microfoam and it will be all based on how good you are at creating microfoam. It acts like a one hole steam tip if you remove the outer sleeve. Watch this video to help. http://www.wholelattelove.com/videos.cfm?playvidID=723
I just received my wand and noticed a horizontal line on the wand about an inch from the bottom. Is this a depth mark of some kind? I searched the videos for instructions on how to use this particular wand but no luck. Would you have some tips?

A A Pete,
There is no "proper" depth marking on the wand. It is really all a matter of practice. Mark and Morgan recently did a video about the different Gaggia wands that I think you may find helpful:

mjackson ♦ The line does not really mean anything. Tere is a good video on the wand.
Thank you, but...quote: "If it has a bare metal steam arm and shipped with a removable plastic frothing wand, this will work". Sorry I am a little slow, though I am sure my Classic is not that old, it has a bare metal steam arm with a permanent metal collar with o-ring seal and a removale metal frothing sleeve...nothing plastic...

Richard Kennedy It is probably mute...I ordered one this evening! Thanks! :-)
A A What Andy was referring to is the part that actually comes out of the machine. If that part is metal, then you should be good!
Will this fit an older Gaggia Classic. I looked at the video and my wand is different. Thanks!

Mary Ann Colvin Yes it does Richard.
Sanfam ♦ This wand will fit any of the Gaggia Classics we presently sell, as well as those dating back to somewhere in the mid-90's. If it has a bare metal steam arm and shipped with a removable plastic frothing wand, this will work.
Kristen C Unfortunately, the Gaggia Latte Art Pannarello Wand does not fit the Saeco Odea.
I am looking for a stainless steel Panarello art steam wand. Do you have one?

mjackson ♦ Michael,
I am sorry we do not have one available as of yet. The plastic one does work very well though.
I would like to know if this wand fits on the Saeco Vienna Plus
-Thank you

mjackson ♦ Nathan,
Yes it will fit and does a great job if you want more control over your milk. It acts more like a one hole steam tip.
mjackson ♦ Ali,
If you own a Gaggia the wand fits on you will want to use this wand as it will help you make great latte milk. So in my opinion - yes you will want to get it.

mjackson ♦ I think anyone that gets a wand that is a panarello type and this wand will fit their machine should get this as a replacement. It really then is all about technique.
