A frothing (steaming) pitcher is a necessity for anybody making espresso-based drinks. All of our pitchers are constructed of quality stainless steel and come in four different sizes. The smaller 12oz pitcher works great for some of the Super Automatic machines with short wands such as the Jura or Capresso models. The 20oz pitcher is the most popular pitcher for home use, since it fits nicely under most steam wands and is large enough to produce enough froth for two drinks. The larger 24oz and 33oz pitchers easily serve up to four drinks. The 24oz pitcher has a bell shaped design to improve the rolling action needed for good froth production. The 24oz and 33oz pitchers are recommended only for commercial-style semi-automatic machines with plenty of steam power.
Tip: The colder the better! Always use fresh cold milk. A cold pitcher helps as well. Keep your empty pitcher in the fridge.

I make 3 to 5 lattes a day for myself and family and the 20 oz. pitcher is just right for a latte with a double shot. If you let your bubbles get too big you could overflow but keeping it to nice micro steam and it is perfect. Good quality thick stainless material.

I drink cappuccinos and steam milk to 160. Using a 24 oz. pitcher you come dangerously close to overflowing. In addition, while what I desire has been accomplished nmerous times you must also maintain a very steady hand because your foam is definitely on the brink of overflowing! Although the 32 0z pitcher is heavier to hold one handed while steaming your milk in order to achieve a beautiful head of foam on top you do not have to worry about your milk spilling over on to the counter top either. I alternate between using both pitchers but I was thrilled to be able to purchase a larger one to use at home. It is well made and I love it!

For years I have been using the Krupps pitchers. They are SS of a nice weight but without beaky spouts, impossible for me to use to to learn to pour latte art. So, I bought the 12 oz and the 20 oz versions of these pitchers to replace what I had. Because the shape is taller and narrower than my old pitchers, I immediately noticed that it was soooo much easier to make perfect microfoam, even in the 12 oz pitcher, where I steam less than 2 inches of milk. Their very heavy SS construction really helps to hold the cold longer and thus enables more control when steaming that little bit of milk for my cappas. And my latte art? I've passed the stage of making white globs and snakey 'intestines'..and it's actually starting to be recognizable. The pitchers really help. Definitely, I give these a 5 cappa rating. Enjoy!

Actually you can't beat this pitcher - it's the real deal. This is the pitcher you see in the illy ads (you get one in their Holiday Introductory Kit). It is a heavyweight - the best that money can buy, and the spout is perfect for latte art. I ordered one in May, and even tho I'm the only cap-drinker in the house, I just ordered a 2nd one. Why? If you have a respectable-sized cap cup (5 - 6 oz), it's not excessive to have two caps in a row. With just one pitcher (my situation for past 7 months) as soon as you've finished your precious cap, you need to wash, dry, refill & refridgerate milk for the 2nd cap. Wait 15 minutes for the pitcher to chill, and then ... 20 minutes after you've finished your first cup, you can prepare your 2nd. It's a drag because you destroy the continuity of the relaxing ritual if you're washing the pitcher & waiting between caps. When my new pitcher arrives, I'll have 2 chilled (& filled) pitchers in the fridge at all times. This is a must-buy if you're a cap lover.

Yes, it's just a frothing pitcher, but this is a very impressive frothing pitcher. The handle broke off my previous frothing pitcher that I bought at a store while in Toronto. It worked fine until the handle incident. I'm writing a review because this one is actually impressive for its purpose. The steel is thick, serious. The rounded bottom on the 24 oz pitcher really does help the milk roll and microfroth very well. Ordering experience? I ordered it 4 days ago. I received it today. Shipping included in price. Withing 1 day of ordering, I received three emails: 1 was order confirmation, 2nd was an order receipt, and 3rd was shipping confirmation and tracking number. Unreal. If you want professional, solid service, use these guys.

I will be purchasing the Gaggia for Illy Plus and wonder if the 20 oz frothing pitcher will work with this machine or if I need to use the 12 oz pitcher. Thank you.

Michael Rosso ♦ Stacie...Thank you for your interest in the Gaggia Illy Plus. The 20 ounce frothing pitcher will work well with the Gaggia Illy Plus, allowing plenty of room for milk expansion. Thanks
Does the 20 oz pitcher have measurement markings in oz. on the inside?

mjackson ♦ Lora,
You can get anything that is 20 ounces or less as that is what will fit under the wand. I hope this helps and enjoy your machine.
I am an owner of a your new Gaggia Brera Super Automatic machine. What size frothing pitcher do you recommend for this machine...the 12 oz. or the 20 oz. ?
Thanks,

Zack Smith Joe, The frothing picture depends on how much you plan on doing at once. I would recommend getting the 20oz.
What are the best size pitchers for steaming milk for 1 cappacino and for 2 cappacino's? I have a Gaggia Brera machine. Thanks.

Michael Rosso ♦ Bryan...I would suggest that you use a 20 ounce pitcher for your needs. Thanks
Michael Rosso ♦ Frank...Thank you for your interest in the 20 oz. Frothing Pitcher. It measures 4.5 inches tall and if you have any further questions please feel free to contact us at 1-888-411-5282 option 1. Happy brewing.
A A Patrick,
The size we suggest for most people is a 20oz pitcher. It's big enough for about 2 drinks work of milk, and isn't so large that getting it under the steam wand is an issue.
