I have been using this basket with my Gaggia Baby Twin. It does an awesome job, i get amazing crema with it. My tip is to keep it clean. Over the past year i would sometimes leave coffee in it over night or longer. i started to lose pressure and sometimes the coffee would just drip out. I had good pressure coming out of the group head, so figured it was this basket. I cleaned it with the Calfiza product, also read a tip to put it over an open flame which i did over my gas stove top to burn any coffee residue or coffee grounds (not for too long tho, you can hear air pressure being built up as it escapes and whistles out the single hole). This did end up solving my problem and my pressure is back to normal. i now run water through it and wipe it down when i am done with it at the end of the day
Hi i have just bought some paper filter pods (ESE) for my Gaggia Classic. I have 2 baskets that came with the machine (1 shot and 2 shot). Which basket would you recommend to use with ESE pods.. Trying to work out if I need the pressurized version with the rubber plug (1 hole) or the pod basket version with many holes...? Advice would be great..

I just received the classic with mdf so don't need the 2 pressurized baskets. Will just be using the double shot commercial basket. Do I need to use the 2 way pin with that? Do you have a recommended grind setting for the mdf using that basket? Thanks

Hi,
Is 2 way Pin a perfect crema device?
I have gaggia coffee and lost a small gasket of milk frother and perfect crema device(that small part). Can I buy just those of parts,
Hi, I got a gaggia classic from you a few weeks ago and I manage to loose the small back part (frothing jet device) that goes below the filter basket, so I need to buy a new one, but i can't find just it.
Is the he frothing jet device included in the gaggia pressurized Filter basket? and is the pressurized Filter basket compatible with the gaggia classic?
Thanks,
Sandro
I have a gaggia color and i just can't seem to get a slow shot with good crema. i tried asking for the finest grind at a good coffee shop and it still doesn't work. i ground it on my capresso grinder at the finest and it was a bit better but still not good. will this pressurized filter basket do the trick?? I'm very frustrated here!
thanks - Suzanna
I have a Gaggia Espresso machine and a Gaggia MM grinder. The only way I can get the thing to run slowly enough is to use 2 scoops of coffee in the single-scoop basket, although depending on the beans (I live in a rural area, where it's difficult to get fresh beans), sometimes it's *too" slow.
When I saw the pressurized filter basket, I thought maybe this would solve my problem. Surely it would run more slowly through a tiny hole than through a lot of tiny holes.
Not!
It actually runs faster through the pressurized basket than it does through the regular filter basket, and there's no way I'd get a good shot with nonfine coffee. (I bought some ground Starbucks French roast because that's all the grocery had, and it's too course; I was regrinding it in a blade grinder.)
Question 1. Why does it run so quickly?
Question 2. In your video, I timed the shots. The first one was 11 seconds after coffee started coming out, and the second one was 17 seconds. Does the black part slow it down? You can't use the black part on the Gaggia Espresso.
New Gaggia Classic owner: Why would I use the pressurized filter basket as opposed to the commercial-style basket? Thanks
I purchased a Gaggia Espresso Pure Black and unfortunately the small black valve that goes into the filter under the pressurized basket fell into my garbage disposal - while it was running. Do you sell just that small black object? Or is it only sold with this additional pressurized filter basket? Thanks, Chris Brown
will the presssureized filter basket work in the "gaggia coffee delux 8.87" machine
