I lost my gaggia diffuser nozzle in the trash. Can I either order one of those, or will the gaggia 58mm filter basket double shot replace both the diffuser nozzle and the basket that comes with the diffuser nozzle?

techkathy That basket is the non-pressurized or commercial filter basket.

I have a gaggia evolution and the filter basket has gotten pretty clogged up. Is there a good way to clean in out or must I buy a new one?

mjackson ♦ You can soak it in cafiza espresso cleaner. Then you can also try taking a pin and opening the holes. Or yes it may be easier to just order a new one.

Will this basket work with the Gaggia Espresso Pure machine? I was thinking about buying the machine but noticed the "Crema Enhancing" filter and assumed its pressurized.

mjackson ♦ Andrew,

This basket will work. You will get a double shot non pressurized basket with the machine so you will not need to purchase this one.

(Please excuse my poor english, I speak french.)

Hi,
I'm looking for single and double Filter Baskets for my lever MiniGaggia.
I dont think I own the right ones since they dont hold when I empty them... Also, I dont think they filter correctly...
Help would be verry appreciated!

mjackson ♦ Marc,It may not be the baskets but you may be missing the wire that goes inside your portafilter handle. Its job is to hold the baskets in place. It sounds to me like what your problem may be. I hope this helps and thanks for the question.

Gaggia 58mm Filter Basket Double Shot

Hello,

I have a question regarding the Gaggia 58mm filter basket. I currently own a Saeco Nina Bar espresso machine. It came with a pressurized basket that I want to replace, and I am wondering if this basket will fill it. (Saeco doesn't make a non-pressurized basket). The machine is designed for 58mm baskets, but I don't know if there are any differences with the Gaggia that will keep it from fitting. I want to know if I can buy this or another basket to use in my current machine, and if I will need to buy something along with the basket to make it work.

Thank You,
Blake Dewveall

mjackson ♦ Blake,

I think the best thing to do is to give Saeco a call. We don't sell the Saeco Nina and I would not want to give you bad advice. You can call them at 1-800-933-7876. It may work but I am not positive.

The filter basket of my baby gaggia doesn't come off the machine when I remove the portafilter. Will a new filter basket solve the problem or do I need an entire new portafilter?

BaristaCorner Hello Thomas...This is a very easy fix for you. You will need to order a new group gasket (GA-NG01/001) and portafilter spring (GA-18G1514). Once you replace these, your filter will stay put. Thank you...Eric

Does this filter basket have multiple holes punched in BOTH sides? I want to avoid the "built in crema assist" types that cause back-pressure. Breville and Cuisinart models use the single-hole on the bottom design and they're terrible.

TechMilanoItalia Yes, this is a 'non-pressurized' basket, so all the holes go all the way through with no membrane in between.
