Hi: I am waiting for my new Gaggia Brera to arrive, my very first espresso machine, yeah. I'd like to know if I need a filter or if the filtered water out of the refrigerator is sufficient? Looking forward to your answer!

The filtration is essentially the same, so you should be ready to do with the water from your refrigerator. However, if you get a funky smell/taste from that water (as many refrigerators do), then the Intenza filter would filter your tap water very well and give you a great shot!

Hi, I've just purchased Gaggia Brera, my order is still processing. This is my first espresso machine and I'm wondering if I needed to include this filter in my order. We use filtered water for cooking and drinking, the filter is installed under the sink in the kitchen. Do I still need to use Mavea filter in my new Brera? And how can I test my water? Thank you.

If you are using a filtered water system in your home, there is no need to use a filter within the machine. It is designed to do the same thing that your home filter is already doing for you!

Will the Mavea Itenza Water Filter work in the Gaggia Syncrony Compact tank, I believe the tank is called a Saeco Charisma Water Tank...??

It is the water filter we recommend and it works very well to protect your investment. Make sure you change it when you are supposed to and it will also cut down on how often you need to descale.
