Paul Bockelman So I'm up for a new filter for my Gaggia Platinum Vision and it appears the Aqua Prima filter isn't available. Suggested options? Thanks

Mark Jackson Paul, The Aqua Prima is no longer available but we are using a better filter called the Mavea. It fits and works very well and is similarly priced. I will give you the link. http://www.wholelattelove.com/Gaggia/mavea_intenza.cfm. This will help protect your machine.

Ralph Sheridan I own a Gaggia Platinum vision. My last water filter order was for Aqua Prima filters. I now see only the Mavea Intenza. Is this the new replacement filter?

Zack Smith Ralph, The Aqua Prima water filters are still available. They are under parts and care, then filters. Here is the link to the page http://www.wholelattelove.com/Saeco/aqua_prima.cfm

jo goren I am considering a Gaggia machine for a holiday gift for us. If I have an RO (reverse osmosis ) system ,do I need to put the mavea filter's in? If yes , how often do they need changing? And do all the 899 and above priced Gaggia models use filters or have them permanently inside. No one seems to have Gaggia in a showroom where i live, but my friends love theirs.

Michael Rosso jo...Thank you for your interest in the Gaggia brand espresso machines. Espresso machines do not have permanent water filters inside. You would need to change your filter every two to four months depending on the usage of your machine. If you have any further questions please feel free to contact us at 1-888-411-5282 option1. Happy brewing.

Kevin Moncrieff Does this filter fit into the Gaggia Twin Baby water tank? Or is it a stand-alone filter which you simply pour water through?
7:28 PM 11-26-10
Mark Jackson Kevin, It actually goes in the water reservoir and it does a great job of protecting your machine.
