Features

With programmable brewing buttons, an LCD display, extra-large dredge drawer, and steel housing, it’s easy to see why the Gaggia Titanium Office will become a beloved fixture in any office or home kitchen. The large base with room for up to 30 spent coffee pucks and extra drip tray room are the 2 main features of this machine, in addition to Gaggia’s time-tested super automatic technology. Plus, with 1 boiler for brewing and 1 boiler for steaming, you can make lattes, cappuccinos, and other espresso-based milk drinks without any downtime.

The blue LCD display on the Gaggia Titanium Office makes brewing, programming, and maintenance easy, letting you know (in the language of your choice) what’s going on with the machine. The programmable brewing buttons can be set to the coffee size of your choice, so you can create consistent shots every time you brew. You can also choose to manually adjust the grind fineness to any of the grinder’s 18 settings, and adjust the coffee dose between 6 and 9 grams. Plus, if you want to brew with beans other than those in the hopper, just put the ground coffee of your choice in the bypass doser.

A Rapid Steam system puts some serious power behind frothing milk for café-style drinks. A stainless steel Turbo Frother attachment on the steam wand will properly distribute steam throughout your frothing pitcher, so you can look like a cappuccino pro. You can even attach the automatic frothing system, called the cappuccinatore, and let the machine do the work for you, dispensing perfectly frothed milk into your waiting cup.

Features & Benefits: Coffee

Automatic Coffee Center

The Gaggia Titanium Office has everything you need to easily create the drinks you’ll find at the coffee shop around the corner. Cappuccinos, lattes, macchiatos, americanos, and more are just a few buttons away. If you have drip coffee lovers in your home or office, you can even make crema coffee. This flavorful and rich drink is the result of passing more water under pressure through the ground espresso, up to about 8oz. The result is the same size as a drip coffee, but with a depth of flavor unlike anything they’ve experienced before

2 Boilers

Waiting for a single boiler machine to heat up to steam temperature or cool down to brewing temperature can take up precious moments in the morning. The Gaggia Titanium Office features 2 boilers, 1 for brewing and a Rapid Steam boiler for steaming milk. This eliminates downtime, so creating drinks is easy and fast.

Push Button Technology

The key to any super automatic espresso machine is its ease-of-use, and the Gaggia Titanium Office couldn’t get too much simpler. Programmable brewing buttons can be set to dispense the liquid volume of your choice, so brewing is as simple as pressing a button on the control panel. Grinding, dosing, tamping, and brewing are all taken care of by the machine, no mess and no fuss.

LCD Display

A blue LCD display on the front of the Gaggia Titanium Office will guide you through virtually every function of the machine in the language of your choosing (English, Italian, Spanish, French, German, Japanese, Portuguese, or Dutch). In addition to helping you through programming the machine, this display will notify you when the water reservoir or bean hopper need to be refilled, when to perform cleaning and descaling cycles.

Adjustable Beverage Volume

The first 3 buttons on the Gaggia Titanium Office’s control panel are programmable brewing buttons. They have been pre-set for an espresso, normal coffee, and café lungo respectively, but you can adjust them to meet your personal tastes. To change the setting, just put a cup underneath the dispensing spout and then press and hold the button you want to program. The message “Progr. Quantity” will appear on the display and coffee will be dispensed into your cup. Simply release the button when you want to stop the flow of coffee, and your setting will be saved.

Adjustable Coffee Dosing

The taste of your espresso depends on a number of different variables, and the amount of coffee used to brew is a big one. You can adjust the amount of coffee used to brew each shot anywhere between 6 and 9 grams by turning the coffee dosing knob in the bean hopper. To increase the strength of your espresso, you can increase the dose, and vice versa.

Adjustable Temperature Control

Some people love their espresso extra-hot, while others don’t want to wait too long before they can start sipping. The Gaggia Titanium Office has 5 different temperature settings to choose from: minimum, low, medium, high, and maximum. The coffee temperature is easily adjusted by entering the programming mode by pressing the Menu/OK button on the control panel and navigating with the arrow keys.

Professional Conical Burr Grinder

Grind fineness plays a large role in the flavor of your espresso. The Gaggia Titanium Office features a conical burr grinder with 18 different settings, so you can find just the right fineness to accommodate your beans and your personal taste.

Coffee Pre-infusion

Before brewing, a pre-infusion cycle will wet your ground coffee with a splash of water. This pulls out the aromatic oils of the coffee, so once brewing starts, the result is a more flavorful espresso shot. If desired, you can also turn this function off in programming mode.

Bypass Doser

When entertaining, or in the evenings when you want to enjoy a decaf espresso shot or latte, you often have to use beans other than the ones in the hopper. The Gaggia Titanium Office features a bypass doser that allows you to brew using previously ground coffee. Located on the front top of the machine, this chute is easily accessible by lifting a small cover. An included coffee scoop will also help you measure out the proper amount of ground coffee.

Adjustable Coffee Spout

Because the Titanium Office gives you the opportunity to create a variety of espresso beverages, chances are good that you will be using a variety of different cups. The Titanium Office has an adjustable coffee spout, so you can brew directly into espresso cups or larger mugs.

Cup Warmer

An active cup warmer is located on the top of the Titanium Office. With room for up to 6 espresso cups, you can help maintain the ideal serving temperature for your espresso. You can turn the cup warmer on and off in the programming menu.

Pre-grinding Function

A nice feature for use in an office environment is the pre-grinding option. This feature will automatically grind a dose of coffee for a second shot right after a shot is brewed. This allows the next shot to be brewed right when the user presses the brewing button, rather than having to wait for the machine to grind, dose, and tamp. You can turn this function on or off in the programming menu.

Features & Benefits: Frothing and Hot Water

Turbo Frother and Automatic Frothing Attachment

With the Gaggia Titanium Office, you have 2 different options for steaming and frothing milk for cappuccinos, lattes, and other espresso-based milk drinks. A stainless steel Turbo Frother will help evenly distribute steam throughout your frothing pitcher to let you create luscious steamed or frothed milk in moments.
The Gaggia Office also comes with an automatic frothing attachment called a cappuccinatore. To use, just remove the Turbo Frother and attach the cappuccinatore to the steam wand. Then, simply place the milk tube into a container of cold milk, place your cup underneath the dispensing spout, and turn the steam knob. In moments, perfectly frothed milk will be dispensed into your cup.

Hot Water

If you want to enjoy tea, americanos, hot chocolate, or instant soups, the Titanium Office can dispense hot water. Just press the hot water button, wait for the display to say it’s ready, and turn the steam/hot water knob. When your desired amount of hot water has been reached, turn the knob back the other way to stop the slow of water.

Features & Benefits: Care, Maintenance, & Other

Water Reservoir

The Gaggia Titanium Office has a large, 60oz water reservoir, so you can go plenty of time between refills. Made of clear plastic, this reservoir can also be removed for easy filling and cleaning.

Removable Brew Group

If you want to give your brew group a quick rinse or to perform any periodic maintenance, it is easily removable on the Titanium Office. To access the brew group, just open the front panel of the machine.

Bean Hopper

The bean hopper on the Gaggia Titanium Office can hold up to 8.5 oz of whole beans, enough for about 30 espressos before you have to refill. The grinder and dosing adjustment knobs are also located in the bean hopper.

Energy Savings Mode

To conserve energy, you can set the Gaggia Titanium Office to turn off after a certain amount of idle time has elapsed. This will shut down the boiler of the machine, but keep the control panel active.

Water Hardness Setting

In order to keep your descaling cycles on schedule, the Gaggia Titanium Office comes with a water hardness test strip. You can them program in your area’s water hardness, so the machine will know when to alert you to perform a descaling cycle. The instruction manual and LCD display will guide you through the descaling process that typically occurs every 2-3 months depending on water hardness.

Cycle Count

To keep track of the amount of espressos brewed on your machine, the Titanium Office features a cup counter. To access the count, just enter the “Total Coffees” section of the programming menu.

Clifton Hall III What is the difference between the Gaggia Titanium, Gaggia Titanium Office & Gaggia Titanium Commercial? Also, how do these compare to the Jura J5?
5:37 PM 1-7-12
Mark Jackson Clifton, It is a good question and there can be some confusion over the different machines, There is no difference between the Gaggia Titanium Commercial and the regular machine. It is the same machine. The Titanium office is the same machien but with a larger drip tray and also dredge drawer to hold the spent coffee pucks. It holds about three times as much as the regular Titanium. In comparison to the J5 the Titanium has a lot of stainless steel. The J5 does not. Here is another difference the J5 has - the Jura Capresso Impressa J5 will serve as your own personal coffee shop. You have the choice to manually froth or steam your milk using the patented Dual Frother Plus wand, or you can have the J5 automatically steam or froth for you using the included FrothXpress. Both produce outstanding results in just moments, making the J5 an indispensable machine when entertaining guests who love espresso. You can even customize the coffee spout when brewing 1 or 2 cups by moving the dispensing nozzles closer together or farther apart, depending on your needs. The Jura will also give you 16 grams of coffee at maximum dose, where the Titanium maxes out a 10.5 grams per dose. Both machines give you a lot of programming options and are very similar in that respect. I hope this helps and let us know if you have any more questions.

Jim Kubik My Titanium brews each shot very quickly, about 10-15 seconds and the espresso is a bit weak. Is there a way to adjust this or does my machine need repair?
12:13 PM 11-1-11
Michael Rosso Jim...Try and start by adjusting your grinder to a finer setting. Then increase the amount of grams of coffee in your shot. Thanks.

Clark Trim I have used Saeco super automatic coffee makers for about ten plus years. I currently have three in use. One in my home, lake home, and office. They are Royal Digital Plus. One is ready to be replaced and I am considering the Gaggia Titanium Office. Do you think I will be making a good choice?
8:24 PM 7-17-11
Mark Jackson Clark, Out of all the Saeco machines the Royal is my favorite. I think they seem to be very durable. I do like the Titanium and feel it is a very good machine and it is better looking. It is a tough call. I do like the Royal and if it is what you are used to then it may be the way to go.

Andrew Elster Is the Commercial Titanium Office plumbed for water or is it just identical to the regular version with the dreg drawer below?
4:32 PM 6-8-11
Mark Jackson Andrew, There is not a plumb kit available for the Titanium series. The main difference as you stated is the larger dredge drawer.Part of the larger dredge drawer is also a much larger drip drawer. These are good machines and also look very nice as well as a strong performer. Let us know if you have any more questions.

Anthony Jacobson The shots from my Gaggia Titanium are pouring extremely slow. Is the boiler going out? I've had it for about 5 or 6 years now.
10:43 PM 4-19-11
Mark Jackson Anthony, It could be a few things. It could be oily beans. it could be a dirty grinder, it could be your check ball is dirty, could be scale. I am going to email you a bunch of cleaning tips and lets see what that does. Try the cleaning tips suggested and let us know how it works out or if you need some more help.

caroline levine what are the dimensions on this machine and how do i receive an additional percentage off? also i have a solis palazzo at present and was wondering if you take trade-ins. you should have my name on file as i have been a customer of yours for quite some time. lastly, is there another machine you might recommend. I would like to find one that is a good value, probably on sale. i look forward to hear from you soon.
10:03 AM 1-31-11
Zack Smith Caroline, The dimensions for this machine are 14.5"H x 11"W x 16.5"D. The Titanium is a great machine. It allows you to customize the beverage setting to personalize your espresso. You can alter the temperature, dosage, water volume, and grind setting. Unfortunately we do not have a trade-in program. The Titanium is a great machine at a great price. If you have any other questions about the machine feel free to give me a call at 888-411-5282 ex 5193

Florrie Funk I have a Gaggia Titanium that i have been using for about three years. It now leaks water from the bottom when on "descale" cycle. It also always says "close door" and I have to press on the left side of the door in order for it to do anything. It no longer seems to "rinse" between uses. I would like to take it/send it to a service center to have it repaired, as I expect that the grinder should be cleaned as well. I live in Atlanta GA.
8:15 PM 10-4-10
Mark Jackson Florrie, I am not sure but I think you may have a scale build up in your boiler. I would send it in for repair. You can send it here or the closest service center is going to be in Myrtle Beach SC. If you want to send it here give us a call. Or if you want to send it to SC call here- Coffee Joe's Repair 524 Brooksher Drive Myrtle Beach, SC, 29588 () Tel: 843-293-2886 I hope this helps and thanks for the question.

Eileen Moon what is the difference (besides price) between the gaggia titanium and the delonghi gran dama??? the titanium seems to have twice as many grinds. thanks
9:00 PM 8-27-10
Mark Jackson Eileen, Thanks for the question. They are both very good machines and of course you would expect them to be based on price, brand and reputation. They both have a lot of Stainless Steel and look better in person. The most notable difference is the milk making or steaming on the DeLonghi. The Delonghi can steam you milk and put it in the cup. It is really easy to use and does work well. The nice thing is after you make your drink you can pull out container and put it back in the refrigerator so it is all ready to go for next time. We have had very good feedback on both machines but certainly the Gaggia is a great value. They both will have similar grind adjustment.

If you would like to know a little about the many types of espresso machines we sell, this would be a good video to get you started. This video covers the machines we sell and based on your lifestyle, what you like to drink, and ease of use. It will give you an overview of different espresso machines and help you determine which one best suits to your needs.

I would watch the video and focus on a particular kind of machine—prosumer, semi-automatic, and super-automatic to decide which kind is ideal for you. Then, you can go and look at individual models to get a better idea of exactly what you want. Of course, if you narrow it down to a few espresso machines and are still undecided, give us a call and we would be glad to help!

I LOVE this machine and it is a hit with overnight guests because they can have fresh coffee at the push of a button without having to know where everything is in my kitchen. I have had this machine for 5 years and it works just as perfect today as it did the day I bought it. Some of the plastic pieces do break overtime, and the replacement parts are not readily available to order on-line. But, I have found that with a quick phone call to customer service the parts are easily identified and replacement orders are quickly sent out. I am a very satified customer and have recommended the Gaggia Titanium to several friends.

Various types of Novo, Allegro, Lavazza, Dazbog

Some Improvements I Would Recommend for This Product:

How do I make a hotter cup of coffee? click to open/closeopen and close answer
  • You can increase the temperature of your drink anywhere from 10-20 degrees by adjusting the machine’s temperature settings and ensuring that all of your brewing components are preheated properly:

    1. If your machine has adjustable temperature, enter into the machine’s menu mode and choose the temperature setting you want.
    2. While in menu mode, verify that the rinse mode is turned on. The rinse feature runs a quick dose of hot water through the brew spout upon startup. This helps to warm up the internal components of the machine, and also rinses away any coffee build-up that might alter the taste of your espresso.
    3. Run water through your hot water spout and into your cup. This accomplishes two things- It helps to preheat the internal components and it heats the cup as well.

If you're talking espresso, and using ceramic cups, pre-heat your cup. 1 oz of espresso in a cold cup = 1 cup of tepid espresso.
