Features

The Grimac Royal Falcon La Valentina semi-automatic is a sleek machine that packs a commercial punch. A classic “prosumer” machine, it has a copper heat exchanger boiler that allows you to brew and steam at the same time. In addition, the La Valentina is one of very few in its class able to boast nickel-plated copper internal tubing. Grimac also included a Sirai commercial pressure stat to regulate temperature and pressure, providing the same consistency and shot quality that you will find in the most selective coffee houses. A ball joint mounted steam wand provides maximum frothing flexibility, and a separate hot water wand makes it easy to prepare tea and americanos. Listed for UL and ETL, this machine is perfect for a small café or other light commercial use, not only for its pure power, but also for its unique design. Housed entirely in stainless steel, the side panels of the La Valentina slightly angle inward at the top, creating smooth lines that appeal to the eye and make this a truly individual machine. Please note that to accommodate a commercial application, the machine does come with adjustable taller legs that can bring the height of the machine up to 17.75 inches. However, these legs can be easily removed for home use. It also has a plastic covering over the on/off switch to prevent steam from getting into its circuitry. This covering is not removable. The La Valentina comes with 2 portafilters (1 single spout and 1 double spout), as well as single and double shot filter baskets, a stainless steel coffee scoop, plastic tamper, group brush, and stainless steel backflush disc. A replacement water nozzle, shower screen, and diffuser plate are also included.

Please Note: Regulations for commercial use vary between states. Be aware of your local requirements. Machines carrying an NSF approval are labeled as such. Please visit our policies page for warranty information.

If you would like to know a little about the many types of espresso machines we sell, this would be a good video to get you started. This video covers the machines we sell and based on your lifestyle, what you like to drink, and ease of use. It will give you an overview of different espresso machines and help you determine which one best suits to your needs.

I would watch the video and focus on a particular kind of machine—prosumer, semi-automatic, and super-automatic to decide which kind is ideal for you. Then, you can go and look at individual models to get a better idea of exactly what you want. Of course, if you narrow it down to a few espresso machines and are still undecided, give us a call and we would be glad to help!

Buy one!

This is a great machine, buy it if you are looking for reliability. Mine has seen moderately heavy household use for 4 and 1/2 years (several coffee lovers in the house) and still works like a new one. We entertain often and the machine gets heavy use one night a week. I do not worry about this machine holding up. It is definitely commercial build quality.

How Long Have I Been Using This Product?

More than 1 year

What's Best About this Product?

Build quality and good coffee. Did I say this thing will pull a great shot! The shots are really good after this machine is been on for several hours and good and hot.

Some Helpful Tips For Using this Product:

Backflush twice a week and this machine won't let you down

My Experience With Using This Product:

The Coffee I've Tried With This Product:

CCM espresso blend and some home roast

Some Improvements I Would Recommend for This Product:

I am not sure. For this class of machine and this price range it is tough to beat. A rotary pump would probably be nice.

mjackson ♦ Andy,

You can purchase the Expobar one that will fit. It goes on the water inlet line inside the water reservoir. Call us and we can get one ordered for you. So you don't need the plumb kit.

plumbable? can a solenoid be added so I can have a pourover or line option?
costs to do this? Maybe an AlexII or La Valentina? La Valentina looks like
it's built like a tank with less potential problems?

mjackson ♦ Vernon,

I love the La Valentina and you are right it is built like a tank. You can get a plumb kit added on and it works very well. It costs $150.00. It is best to have it done before the sale. It is harder to do after as you really need to know what you are doing as well as having all the parts. You cant have both the tank and the plumb kit. It can only be one or the other. Get the Valentina and let us know if you have anymore questions.
