Rated a 93 out of 100 by the well known Coffee Review this Johnson Brothers Coffee Roasters Single-Origin Dolok Sanggul Espresso is made from beans grown and harvested in the Indonesian town of Dolok Sanggul situated in the Lake Toba growing region in the province of North Sumatra. Beans from this region are prized for their earthy, fruity, aromatic wood flavors that are developed by the unusual method of processing and drying the coffee cherry called wet hulling.
The Johnson Brothers Coffee Roasters Single-Origin Dolok Sanggul Espresso possess a very nice citrus, pipe tobacco and milk chocolate flavor as a straight espresso shot with a nice syrupy mouthfeel that carries the flavor through a long finish. Combining this coffee with milk in your favorite coffee drink like a latte or cappuccino develops interesting overtones with the citrus and chocolate notes being enhanced by the sweetness of the milk.
