OverviewBack to Top
The modest exterior of Jura-Capresso Impressa E8 houses a precise set of features for the person who knows exactly what they need. With an LED screen that walks you through every option, this fully digital coffee system lets you brew anything from a 1oz shot of espresso to 16 oz (two 8 oz cups) of café crema at the push of a button. The Jura-Capresso E8 gives you 6 options for the grind fineness of your fresh grounds and allows you to choose between mild, normal, and strong coffee dosage for each drink. Instead of using the whole beans that are in the hopper, the Jura-Capresso E8 also accommodates pre-ground coffee in its bypass doser. After brewing, spent grounds are deposited in an internal dump box for later removal. This lets you move right on to frothing or steaming milk using the dual position frother instead of needing to clean up right away. Jura Capresso also included a cleaning cycle and the Clearyl* water filtration system into the E8. Both are controllable through the straightforward brewing control panel, so clean up is as easy as brewing.
All of these features fit neatly in the Jura-Capresso E8’s black ABS frame and housing. Cleverly camouflaged in black, there is no sign of the 8 oz bean hopper or 64 oz removable water reservoir at first glance. Upon closer inspection, you’ll find them on opposing sides of the machine (water reservoir on the left, bean hopper on the right) and accesseable through separate lids on the top of the unit that frame the similarly disguised bypass doser and passive cup warmer. On the other hand, the front of the machine was designed to hold no secrets. Each button and knob is clearly labeled, allowing even the novice user to brew without a training session. Cleanly separating the brewing controls from the steam knob and steam wand is a silver column – emblazoned with the Jura-Capresso logo – that leads to the coffee dispensing spouts. These spouts are easily adjustable to accommodate cups up to 4 inches tall.
