The Keurig Mini B30 single-serve brewing system lets you enjoy brewing away from home. With The Keurig B30 Mini and their patented K-Cups, you can brew fresh, great tasting coffee at your desk, in your dorm room, in your hotel room, in your boat, or just about anywhere. The Mini only takes 3 minutes to heat the water and brew the perfect cup of gourmet coffee, tea or hot cocoa. To enjoy a great cup of freshly brewed coffee, all you have to do is plug in the Mini, pour in 8 oz of water, insert a K-Cup and push a button. K-cups are pre-measured single-servings of coffee that eliminate the hassle of grinding, tamping, measuring and messy clean-up. And you can choose from over 200 different coffee, tea and hot cocoa varieties from 13 gourmet partners. Better than coffee to go, it’s the coffee machine to go. Also available in white.

I love fixing it, and drinking it. It looks great on the counter. I don't mind filling the mini each time I want a cup, or the extra 3 minutes wait (as opposed to the larger Keurigs) - sort of enjoy it! Takes up little counter space - can fill with gallon jug without moving it from under the counter! Bottom line - consistently makes a great cup. I can fine tune strength by the amount of coffee I put in the "My K-cup," and with that sweet little attachment, my coffee costs no more than it ever did. The "My K-cup" is easy as pie to clean up - run it under the water and leave out to air-dry.

I purchased this little guy after starting a new job at which there were no "community" coffee pots and the closest one to me was for tea lovers. I just wanted something simple that I could use at my desk. This is a great little machine. I like the fact that you add water for each cup - no sitting / stale water. The first coffee I tried was Timothy's Nicaraguan Extra Bold Organic and it was one of the best cups I have had in a long time; smooth, no bitterness and HOT.

It sounds like you can use regular coffee in this machine - you don't have to use the pre-packaged cups? is that true?

Tracys ♦ The machine requires a K cup which is prepackaged. however you can purchase The My K-cup reusable coffee filter which allows you to use any of your favorite ground coffees in your Keurig home brewer. Perfect for the aficionado who prefers to grind and flavor his or her own coffee. My K-cup only works in these Keurig home brewers: Elite B40, Ultra B50, Special Edition B60, and Platinum B70. It does not fit the Keurig Commercial brewers: B100, B100P, B100R, B130, B140, B200, B2000, B2003 or B3000.

Looking at an online users guide, I saw something about "air purge" after the coffee brewing stream stops. What is the purpose of this action? Is there anything wrong with grabbing my cup as soon as the stream finishes (except that the tray may have to catch a stray drop of brew)? Because if I do, then the maker cuts off, and twarts the "air purge."

DRuff Hello Phil and thank you for your question. When you remove your cup you are leaving space for air to get in the system. Much like what happens the first time you use the machine. The air purge simple dispenses any air bubbles left in the system. Other then having some drips, there shouldn’t be any problem in doing this. Happy Brewing and Happy New Year! Enjoy your Keurig.
TechMilanoItalia If you use the 'My K-Cup Filter' found here: http://www.wholelattelove.com/Keurig/my_kcup.cfm you can use whichever ground coffee you want. Otherwise you would need to use other K-Cups.
