Digital Programming
What’s better to wake up to than the aroma of freshly brewed coffee? The Krups XP2070 features a blue LCD display that allows you to set a time to automatically start making drip coffee. Easy to use buttons also allow you to control the size of your espresso as well as the strength of your coffee. Lights on the machine will blink to alert you when the boiler is heating or cooling and will remain steadily lit to let you know the XP2070 is ready to steam or brew.
Versatile Portafilter
The XP2070’s portafilter gives you a choice of brewing options. You can use ground espresso in the 1-shot and 2-shot filters, or place an adapter into the portafilter to use ESE (Easy Serving Espresso) pods. ESE pods are great when you’re on the go, while using ground beans and tamping them yourself gives you even more control over the taste and crema of your espresso.
Flavor Selector
When making small amounts of drip coffee, it can be difficult to brew just the right strength. The Krups XP2070 features a flavor selector that lets you alter the strength of your coffee from “normal” to “strong” with just the touch of a button. The XP2070 slows down the water cycle, allowing for increased extraction from the coffee grounds.
Customizable Shot Sizes
Depending on the grind of your espresso and your flavor preferences, you may want to alter the default volume dispensed when you press the single and double shot buttons. To program the size of your shots, simply set up the machine as you normally would to brew espresso, press the shot button, and then press the scroll button. The letter “M” should appear on the digital display, indicating that this shot size will be programmed in the machine’s memory. To stop the flow of espresso and set the volume, press the espresso selection button once.
Large Glass Carafe
Whether you’re brewing for a crowd or just for yourself, the Krups XP2070 is ready for the challenge. Drip coffee is brewed directly into a stylish 10-cup glass carafe that is perfect for serving, as well as keeping your coffee warm. The heating plate underneath the carafe has a safety feature that automatically shuts it off after 2 hours, so you never have to worry about leaving it on.

Sometimes you just can’t wait for an entire pot of coffee to brew before pouring a cup. The XP2070’s Pause and Serve feature lets you momentarily stop the brewing process to pour a cup of coffee.

Cappuccino Attachment

Operating like a Panerello wand, the attachment will disperse steam in many different directions in your milk pitcher. Just place the cappuccino attachment on the steam wand, pour a pitcher of cold milk, and you can create delicious cappuccinos and lattes with little practice.
Hot Water

Removable Water Tank
The Krups XP2070 makes filling and cleaning a simple process. Its removable water tank is easy to access and has a convenient handle for carrying to a tap. The XP2070 does not include a filter, so it’s recommended that you use pre-filtered water for the best possible taste and to avoid lime build-up. After you are done using the machine, it should be emptied to ensure only the freshest water is used to brew espresso and coffee.
Easy Cleaning
The brew head, filter, filter holder, and removable drip tray should be cleaned after each session using a damp cloth and a mild detergent. The cappuccino attachment is simple to remove and should be cleaned with a damp cloth after each use to avoid milk build-up, then thoroughly cleaned with mild detergent and water every day.
