Introduced for La Marzocco's 70th anniversary, the FB/70 features stylized, fiberglass paneling to add class to your business. With advanced PID technology to increase temperature stability, the FB/70 is designed for professional baristas that demand the best under a strenuous brewing environment.
The FB/70 is one of La Marzocco’s easiest espresso machines to operate. With all of its controls located above the groupheads, steaming and brewing can be performed by turning a knob or pressing a button. However, learning the nuances of proper brewing, steaming, and frothing will necessitate more in depth training and practice regimens. Users can be directed to the following articles for detailed descriptions of the brewing and frothing processes, but hands-on training is a must for the best results.
This La Marzocco espresso machine features 2 stainless steel, ball-jointed frothing wands that can froth and steam independently. With a separate boiler for steaming and frothing, there's never any loss in temperature stability, even during your busiest hours.
The FB/70 Automatic allows users to program the machine to brew various amounts of coffee for each group. With 4 different drink options, you can program the FB/70 to dispense different drink volumes automatically. With programmable temperature settings and water volumes for single and double shots, the FB/70 can be customized for fast and consistent pulls during your busiest hours. Plus, the built-in hot water dispenser features a tea button that can be programmed as well, so tea drinkers can look forward to the same consistent performance that all of your customers expect.
To allow you to control the temperature of the brewing boiler down to the degree, the GB/5 features Proportional Integrated Derivative (PID) temperature control. This techology senses temperature fluxuation in the boiler, and pulses the heating element to maintain the set temperature within a ± 0.5°C variation at all times. With PID technology, you get unbeatable temperature stability, and you can customize a brewing temperature for each type of coffee you use, for the best flavor possible from every roast.
To maximize brewing consistency, the FB/70’s stainless steel brew groups are welded directly to the boiler. This allows water from the boiler to flow openly into each of the brew groups, providing an optimal temperature for all of the brewing components.
Because this espresso machine is designed for high output, La Marzocco has developed extensive back up and bypass functions to ensure production does not have to stop for periodic servicing and maintenance.
All of our La Marzocco commercial machines feature a heavy-duty stainless steel cup warmer with a surface that is big enough to preheat all of your cups before brewing.
A convenient sight glass allows you to view the water level inside of the steam boiler so you can closely monitor your current level.
The FB/70 comes in several designs to suit a variety of electrical environments. Choose from 200v (1 or 3 phase), 220v (1 or 3 phase), or 380v (3 phase) depending on your requirements. You can also choose between standard wattage and high wattage heating elements to customize your machine's capabilities.
Since the FB/70 is designed for high output, there are a few parts you should keep on hand for quick replacements. Parts that can wear under constant use are filter baskets, shower screens and group gaskets, so it’s a good idea to check them regularly and replace them when needed.
This La Marzocco espresso machine will require a professional installation, which we can arrange for you at the time of purchase. Prior to installation, you will need to submit the following electrical and plumbing requirements (both found in the Installation Guidelines Diagram) to a general contractor, electrician, or plumber as well as your code enforcement officer to ensure the compliance of your facility with the needs of this espresso coffee maker. You may also want to go over this information with your electrician or contractor prior to purchase, as you will need to select your voltage and wattage preferences at the time of purchase.

If you would like to know a little about the many types of espresso machines we sell, this would be a good video to get you started. This video covers the machines we sell and based on your lifestyle, what you like to drink, and ease of use. It will give you an overview of different espresso machines and help you determine which one best suits to your needs.
I would watch the video and focus on a particular kind of machine—prosumer, semi-automatic, and super-automatic to decide which kind is ideal for you. Then, you can go and look at individual models to get a better idea of exactly what you want. Of course, if you narrow it down to a few espresso machines and are still undecided, give us a call and we would be glad to help!
Chance Great video. Covers the basics and really helps you find the category that fits your life. Super auto for me!
