Construction

Made in Italy and constructed of plastic and sturdy metal, this powerful chrome-plated grinder stands over 24 inches tall, 10 inches wide, and 14 inches deep, and weighs 34 pounds. It features a tinted bean hopper, a coffee dispenser for measured dosing of grounds, and a tamper.

Grinding

Grinding on the Macap M7A is simple. Add beans to the hopper and open the coffee tube hatch below the hopper. Switch the grinder on using the on/off switch on the right side of the machine, and grinding begins. Once you have your desired amount of grounds, switch the grinder off. Your grounds are now in the coffee dispenser, so pull on the lever to measure out the correct amount of ground coffee. A tamper is built on the coffee dispenser, making this a one-stop grinding station.

Adjusting Ground Coffee Fineness

The stepless grind settings are as simple as can be. When the machine is grinding, you can use both hands to turn the grinding ring smoothly to a coarser or finer setting. No lever is needed to change the completely stepless grind settings. Remember that the size of the grind isn’t the only thing that affects how your beans brew – the taste can be altered by how fresh they are and the air’s humidity.

Adjusting Doser Measurements

When you pull the lever, the M7A dispenses a pre-set amount of grounds. To change this measurement, turn the pin located inside the coffee dispenser clockwise for a small amount, or counter-clockwise for a larger amount. Remember that the coffee dispenser should never be filled more than 2/3rds with grounds.

Cleaning

Unplug your machine, and detach all removable parts from the M7A. The removable parts can be hand washed in warm soapy water, while the machine body can be wiped down with a damp cloth.
