The much anticipated Mazzer Mini Electronic Type A is here! This unique grinder has an Electronic Automatic Dosing System. The Mazzer Mini Electronic is equipped with one manual and two programmable dosing push buttons. Hold down the manual button and your Mazzer will grind until you lift your finger. To adjust the dosage for the programmable buttons, use a small screwdriver, and turn the appropriate dosing dial in the desired direction. Pressing a programmed button once will initiate the grinding and dispensing of the set amount of coffee. With its infinite adjustment lever it has the capability to grind to any specification such as espresso or drip coffee. It is very quiet due to its direct drive system. With a super strong 250 watt motor it will not bog down under a heavy load and will last a lifetime. The large 64mm burrs are made of 100% Swedish hardened steel and are known as the best in the industry. They are easy to access for cleaning and better yet, very easy to recalibrate after cleaning. The bean hopper can be removed with the beans still in it, allowing you to easily swap beans. It weighs 22 pounds, is incredibly well engineered, and is the type of equipment you would be proud to have in your home or business. Please note that most grinders are tested at the manufacturer and coffee grounds may be found in the grinder as a result. All machines sold are new unless otherwise clearly stated. The frame and body is made of a one-piece heavy die cast aluminum. This ensures long lasting durability for the finish and cuts down on what little noise the motor does make.
The Mazzer Electronic can grind form super fine to very coarse. With the infinite grind setting adjustments you can adjust the grind as little or as much as you want with ease.
The grinding burrs on the Mazzer Mini Electronic are made of a special Swedish hardened steel measuring 64mm in diameter. These burrs are of the highest quality available. Due to their hefty size they can grind large quantities of coffee quicker while imparting very little heat to the freshly ground coffee.
The Mazzer was designed to handle a commercial load but due to its fine craftsmanship it has found its way into the home. The motor draws 250 watts and is a direct drive style that operates at 1600 RPM. It is so quiet that when operating without beans you can barley hear the motor. As a safety feature the Mazzer Mini has an overload switch that turns the machine off to prevent any damage due to foreign objects getting stuck in the burrs
The bean hopper can hold up to 1 lb of beans, and features a compact design for a better fit under kitchen cabinets. When in place on the grinder, the bean hopper measures just 4 inches tall. Plus, it can be removed while the beans are still in it to make it easy to swap them out.
To access the burrs for cleaning you won’t need any tools and only takes a minute. Just turn the adjustment lever clockwise until the whole adjustment lever and attached brass burr hold comes off. You can then see the grinding burrs for cleaning or inspecting.

I've been using this machine for over 5 years now. It is simply spectacular in it's ability to produce such a consistent grind, and with the preset dosing, you can really dial it in... With this grinder, your favorite roast and a simple Rancilio Silvia, you can rival anyone's brew, anywhere. Perfection starts with the front of the production line - you can't brew a better cup than what your grinder can produce. Less sophisticated and powerful grinders can't produce as consistently. The Mazzer Mini Electronic might improve your brew more than a new machine, if you have something like a Silvia or better.. I'm using an ECM Giotto, Moka D'Oro beans (for 11 years now) and 2% milk for latte's. My end product rivals the best coffee houses in tony Williamsburg, Brooklyn, my neighborhood. You simply have to be a true master to do a whole lot better than what this grinder is capable of.

It is so reliable. No issues at all in over 5 years. You set the portafilter in the holder, press the button, and like magic, it fills the portafilter with the EXACT same amount, every time. LOVE IT.

Zack Smith Bob, The difference between the machine is just the location for the dosing controls. On the type "A" they are located on the top of the machine while the type "B" has the controls located on the bottom.
Mazzer Mini......What's the difference between the Electronic and the Electronic "P".

mjackson ♦ The difference is only in the finish. The P stands for polished. Both grinders will perform equally well.
rorlando The Type A grinder is programmable on the top of the grinder for a single, double, or manual grind. The Type B grinder has a switch at the bottom of the grinder that is activated by pressing the porta filter against the switch. Pushing the button one time for a single, two times for a double, press and hold for manual.
I am looking for an excellent espresso machine and grinder. I have space for a smaller HX or double boiler machine and am looking at those. I will be making with a few exceptions just one or two drinks a day, in order of frequency, Americanos or Crema coffee, espresso, cappuchino, and an occasional latte for my wife.
I am used o turning a machine on and not worrying so much about it. I have an old Krups and thought about moving up to a Rancilio bu the looks, reliability and shot quality of the HX and double boilers are drawing my attention up there. What do you suggest?

TechMilanoItalia If you have the room and the budget, the HX machines will give you the most 'bang for the buck' as far as shot quality and reliability. They are generally built as low-volume commercial machines. You may want to consider the Expobar Office line or the Brasilia Mini Classic.
