The Mazzer Mini was originally designed for commercial use but with today’s high-end kitchens and discriminating customers, the Mazzer Mini has moved into the home. If you’re looking for a grinder that can grind to any specification such as espresso or drip coffee, the Mazzer Mini with its infinite adjustment lever can do it with ease. It is very quiet due to its direct drive system. With a super strong 250 watt motor it will not bog down under load and will last a lifetime. The Mini can be adjusted to dispense anywhere from 5.5 grams to 9 grams with each pull of the dispensing handle. The Mazzer Mini is now available with the timer control. The timer can be set for up to 60 seconds of continuous grinding. This is also a safety feature as this grinder is nearly silent when running without beans in the hopper. You will not be able to leave it on by accident. The large 58mm burrs are made of 100% Swedish hardened steel and are known as the best in the industry. They are easy to access for cleaning and better yet, very easy to recalibrate after cleaning. The bean hopper can be removed with the beans still in it allowing you to easily swap beans. It weighs 22 pounds, is incredibly well engineered and is the type of equipment you would be proud to have in your home or business. Please note that most grinders are tested at the manufacturer and coffee grounds may be found in the grinder as a result. All machines sold are new unless otherwise clearly stated. Available in Silver w/ Timer or Black w/ Timer.

2 year limited warranty through Whole Latte Love.
The frame and body is made of a one-piece heavy die cast aluminum. This ensures long lasting durability for the finish and cuts down on what little noise the motor does make.
The Mazzer can grind from super fine to very coarse. With the infinite grind setting adjustments you can adjust the grind as little or as much as you want with ease.
The Mazzer was designed to handle a commercial load, but due to its fine craftsmanship it has found its way into the home. The motor draws 250 watts and is a direct drive style that operates at 1600 RPM. It is so quiet that when operating without beans you can barely hear the motor. As a safety feature the Mazzer Mini has an overload switch that turns the machine off to prevent any damage due to foreign objects getting stuck in the burrs
The grinding burrs on the Mazzer Mini are made of a special Swedish hardened steel measuring 58mm in diameter. These burrs are of the highest quality available. Due to their hefty size they can grind large quantities of coffee quicker while imparting very little heat to the freshly ground coffee.
The Mazzer Mini comes with a timer. The timer is a knob on the side that you turn to set it to run for up to a maximum of one minute.
The Mazzer Mini comes with a short bean hopper to provide more room to fit underneath your kitchen cabinets. The shorter design gives the hopper a height of just 4 inches when in place, but it still has a hefty capacity of 1 lb. The bean hopper is made of durable clear plastic, and can be removed while the beans are still in it to make it easy to swap them out. The Mazzer Mini's grounds container also has a large capacity, holding up to 7 ounces of your freshly ground coffee.
The Mazzer Mini is designed to dispense the ground coffee directly into any brand of espresso machine portafilter. The amount of coffee that it will dispense is adjustable from 5.5 grams to 9 grams with each pull of the dispensing handle. The handle is coated with a soft rubber and is built for the long haul. You won’t have to worry about any part of this grinder wearing out. An optional built in tamper comes with every Mazzer Mini that you can install on the front of the grinder if you wish.
To access the burrs for cleaning you won’t need any tools and only takes a minute. Just turn the adjustment lever clockwise until the whole adjustment lever and attached brass burr hold comes off. You can then see the grinding burrs for cleaning or inspecting.

The Mazzer Mini does a better job than the grinder at Starbucks and a local roaster. I use a French Press and a Stove Top Moka so I grind both expresso and drip brew grind. The grind on the courser setting is more consistent than I was getting at both Starbucks and a local Roaster. It also does a much better job on course grounds than the Rancilio Rocky. I removed the finger guard to make it easier to clean after grinding. I find it easier to clean the Mazzer Mini than the Doserless Rocky. The plastic chute on Rocky is harder to sweep clean than the Mini, plus the Mini (because of the doser) does not create as much "dust" around the grinder. My only complaint about the whole process is it took a about 3 weeks to get my credit for the returned Rocky, and when I inquired about the credit, I got the boiler plate response "that it can take up to 30 days to process a credit". I would have expected a small company such as Whole Latte Love to do better than that.

Grind quality is perfect from espresso to course grind.
Remove finger guard to make it easier to clean doser and chute after each grind.

It would be nice if it was easier to make fine adjustments in grind.

The machine does have a great range of grinds. However, it is way overpriced for what it is (unless you're a connoisseur of stainless steel industrial sculpture). Here are my issues: Very hard to clean, and you must make sure when you remove the burrs, you keep track of how you've aligned the machine, or you will have to go through resetting the grind settings; the doser is almost impossible to fully clean, and the the chamber in between is hard to clean; when you do clean it, you get part grease all over you and the springs may come out; the doser leaks all the time when I grind, so it's very messy, also the doser is very inconsistent and sometimes spurts coffee out, so it can be very, very messy, and if you change grinds or types of coffee, because there's almost always residue in the doser, you will get a mix. If you're not dosing for espresso, like for a regular coffee pot, it's very difficult and messy.

Great range of grinds. Very attractive.

Range of coffees: Peets, Bob's Super Beans, WLL brands, etc.
Noise level, ease of cleaning, doser leaks, lots of parts all over the place when trying to clean, should have a mark on the grinder chamber so it's easy to replace in the same settings after cleaning

I bought the Mazzer mini at the same time I bought my office lever and the two work beautifully together. The mini has infinite grind settings with nice steps between settings. grinds consistently and most importantly quietly with no vibration. The doser is consistent and works well. Only real complaint is the difficulty to adjust the doser quantity

I bought this with the Expobar Office for my wife almost three years ago for Xmas. Together we make 8-12 shots per day, so there really isn't any issue with grounds hanging out in the doser. This thing is built like a Moto Guzzi and will last as long. I think of it as another kitchen appliance like my washer and stove- a 20 year investment. Totally worth the cash.

Bought this a few years ago to use with my Rancilio Silvia. The reviews said I would never need to upgrade. They were right. It delivers better than promised - I've never regretted buying it for a second.

Un-believable! I received my Mazzer Mini as a Christmas present (early...couldn't wait any longer)...and all I can say is...WOW....what a machine. I had used a Solis Maestro for 3 years and it did an adequate job, however...I will be updating my expresso machine soon, and needed a better grinder to keep up! The Mazzer is a work of art...heavy, beautiful, functional...as soon as I flipped the "on" switch the first time, I was amazed....this machine is very quiet, even when grinding beans...and fast, as well....much faster than the Maestro. Comparing the two would be the same as comparing a Ferrari to a Kia...they both get the job done, but what a difference quality makes! I have only run 6 scoops of beans thru the hopper, but I have already gotten $400 worth of joy from it's use. No question, this is an awesome machine, as many of the other posts declare. Yeah, the instructions are a little vague, but the bottom line is really, plug in the machine, put th beans in the hopper and turn of the grinding switch...oh, yeah, don't use this appliance while taking a bath...If you have used other grinders, the Mazzer is much easier than rocket science. Buy it, and quit second-guessing yourself.

Everything...looks, feel, function....all superior
The mini was shipped to me with a short hopper in place....I didn't realize that the short hopper now comes with the unit, so I ordered an additional one that I don't need.

With a high quality espresso machine, one must have a high quality grinder. I believe that the grind may be as important as the machine. If you are on this site, you are likely considering a good quality espresso machine (or already have one; I use an Expobar Office Lever). Save your money, time, and coffee and just get the Mazzer. This is a very high quality machine that produces a consistent grind. It is very quiet and is easy to clean. The coffee is excellent.

Very well built. Consistent grind.
Clean periodically by removing the hopper and upper burr. A paint brush works very well. I have cleaned it about once per month.

Are replcement burrs available for the Mazzer Mini and do you regularly keep them in stock?
Thank you

mjackson ♦ Howard,
Thanks for thinking of us. We do have them in stock and they are priced at $47.08. You can call and order them. It is a good idea to change your burrs when needed. Gives us a call and we will be glad to help.
I am also interested in the silver Mazzer Mini. I noticed the version you have pictured is the original with the plastic tray, and with the cord exiting the rear. Is this the actual model for sale? Or is it the newer version 2 with metal tray, and cord exiting the bottom?

mjackson ♦ Ramon,
It is the newer version we have in stock and sorry for the confusion on the pictures. Please give us a call if you have any questions regarding the grinder, it is well made and will last for years.
We are going to be purchasing the mazzer mini grinder. We are trying to decide between the silver and black. We have stainless steel in our kitchen and black granite. Our espresso machine is stainless. Is the silver of the mazzer more of a shiny chrome or more of a stainless steel finish? If the color is not stainless-we should probably go with black so that the metals do not clash. Is any of the body plastic? Does either of the machines read as more high quality? The photos are not enough to tell completely which one would work better. Anything you can say would be helpful.

mjackson ♦ Jacqueline,
Thanks for the question and I understand your concern. It is more of a chrome looking finish. I think you will be happier with the black. None of the body is plastic and it is a great looking and also well built machine. I do think black is the way to go.
I purchased a Mini Mazzer LUIGI 5 years ago and have been pleased overall. I mostly drink Espresso-based drinks but recently decided to use it for drip coffee. I am unsure of the grind settings to use. I bought a Keurig with the idea I could also grind small amounts for individual cups. What settiing is best for drip? Is the setting for a Keurig the same?

mjackson ♦ Jeff,
Drip coffee and Keurig should be the same. I cant give you a number as it has unlimited settings. I would go about 1/2 to 3/4 of a full turn and try it and see how it works. It is going to be abut getting the correct size. In order to do the K cups you will need to get one of these. http://www.wholelattelove.com/Keurig/my_kcup.cfm
I hope this helps and thanks for the question.
I bought this to grind espresso and drip. I don't think I can adjust it coarse enough for drip. The factory setting sticker is over the 8. When making adjustments for drip it only adjusts to about the 9 1/2 mark before it hits the set screw that stops it. I would like a little more adjustment. Is there anything I can do to get a more course grind? I am not sure this would even be a problem if the factory setting was at a lower number. Thanks for any suggestions.

mjackson ♦ The factory setting should be good for espresso. Ideally you do need a much coarser grind for drip coffee. You may need to remove the screw to be able to make the adjustment more to coarse and then replace the screw.

I have a Jura Z5 and Illy ground decaf coffee clogs it. At $300 to repair it, I want to buy a burr grinder that I can use to buy whole Illy decaf beans, grind them and then place the grounds into the chute of the Z5 to make decaf for my guests. The regular hopper in the Z5 is filled with regular beans, so I need a grinder specifically for the decaf guests. Will the Mini be a grinder that you recommend or something else?

Zack Smith Gregory, When you use the bypass doser make sure that you only use one scoop. When you use more than one the bypass tends to clog up thus needing a repair. There are many grinds that will work to give you a good fine grind. The Mazzer Mini grinder will give you great control over the fineness while giving you unlimited settings. If you would like to discuss other possible grinders feel free to contact me at 888-411-5282 Ex 5193
mjackson ♦ Sam,
Sorry for any confusion. It is a brand new grinder as in never been used. It is listed under grinders and also as a prosumer model as it would be considered as a commercial grade grinder as well. It is a great grinder and will last for years.
mjackson ♦ Rick,
Thanks for the good question. You can do it but it takes some work. You have to make sure everything fits and that you also have the right kind of shoot coming out where the grinds exit the machine. It is something we do not usually recommend. If you do a search you can find suggestions on how other people have done the modification.
Why is this grinder finally on sale? I'm thinking about getting one, but does this mean a new model is on the way?
thanks,
Clayton
