Features
Take your love of fine coffee and espresso to the next level with the Nesco Professional Coffee Bean Roaster. Easy to use and efficient, this Nesco roaster can prepare up to 1/3lb of beans, enough for 36 cups of coffee, in 20-30 minutes. Make a custom blend or experiment with single-origin coffee, the Nesco roaster will allow you to create light to medium and dark roasts…and pretty much anything in between.
This model is the only home roaster to feature Nesco’s patented catalytic converter, designed to eliminate the smoke and odor associated with the roasting process. Along with this exclusive feature, the roaster also has a user-friendly interface and intuitive controls for hassle-free operation. If you’ve ever wanted to try your hand at roasting coffee, consider the Nesco Professional Coffee Bean Roaster.
Roasting
The roasting chamber has a generous 5-ounce capacity and comes with an auger drive mechanism to mix your beans for an even roast. In addition, the Nesco Professional Bean Roaster features a chaff guard to collect coffee debris. This model is equipped with a powerful heating element and a two-speed fan that directs hot air through the chamber during the roasting cycle. It will also send cool air through the chamber to end the roasting process.
To help you create consistent roasts, the Nesco Professional Coffee Roaster comes with a recall feature. Press the “Recall” button and the roasting duration of the last cycle will be displayed for your reference. Refer to this data if you’re looking to replicate the previous results or fine-tune your roasting technique.
Catalytic Converter
Nesco’s patented catalytic converter removes the smoke and odor created by the roasting process. A special cover diverts the smoke from the roasting chamber to the catalytic converter, where it is eliminated. A rear seal ensures that the smoke and odors do not escape from the catalytic converter.
Safety Shutoff Feature
The safety shutoff feature monitors the roaster and only allows it to operate when the cover is properly latched. If the lid removed during the roasting process, the safety shutoff feature will deactivate the roaster.
Roasting Guidelines
Nesco offers the following guidelines to help you achieve the desired results with the Professional Coffee Bean Roaster:
- Light Roast - 20-22 minute cycle
- Medium Roast- 23-26 minute cycle
- Dark Roast - 27-30+ minute cycle
