Just a note of caution; we purchased our Rancilio Silvia in May 2006 and just installed the third steam wand (one per year). The caution is to be sure you do not tighten the tip more than hand tight or the wand will develop a split above the nozzle from which steam will escape. Not only does this cause a danger and a mess, it decreases the pressure coming out the end of the nozzle. Once you master the technique of relatively high pressure at the very surface of the milk you will create great, tightly packed foam from this wand and all will be good with the world again!
