Fine, utilitarian (thick) rubber mat

This is a fine, thicker rubber mat for placing on your counter to pack coffee and protect your counter. It is exactly what the description says: rubber, and heavier. If you are after elegance, this is not for you--it's a 1/4" (slab) of blackish rubber (think of a thick, rubber, rectangular computer mousepad and you'll get the idea), with no tapering at the sides. But good and utilitarian, and recommended for that (one doesn't see many mats like this out there, and for a relative pittance!). (Note: when I originally receieved mine, it gave off the smell of rubber; that smell has dissipated.)
