The Aqua Prima filters out particles and impurities to create better tasting coffee while also reducing limescale to keep your espresso machine happy and healthy. Filters should be replaced every 3 months to ensure optimal performance.
Please Note: These filters fit all Saeco super automatics EXCEPT for the Vienna line machines (Vienna, Vienna DeLuxe, and Vienna Digital).
Leslie Schiff I looked and the one that came with the machine looks smaller, like half the size, and there is nothing like it on your site, but if this will work for sure, I will buy it
mjackson ♦ Wendy,
The Aqua Prima will work. You will need to twist it on so it also presses against the wall of the watertank to secure it in place . i just did it with a filter and your tank to be sure it works.
mjackson ♦ You will want to use these filters or the Mavea filters as shown here.

I have a used Saeco Italia superautomatic espresso machine, Type SUP 021 YR. It is missing the key that allows me to check and clean the top filter on the brew group. I do not know the part number, but it appears to be important to keeping the machine operating well.
1. Do you have a part number, can I order it from you, if not who can I order it from.
2. Do you also have a spare top brew group filter?
3. Does my machine have a water filter inside the water tank? If so, do you sell them.
4. what is the aqua pure water filter? Will it fit my machine?

mjackson ♦ Rosanne,
We do have the Aqua Prima filter and it will work with the Italia. The other parts we no longer carry. You may want to contact Saeco USA in order to get those parts.
I have the Gaggia Platinum Vision. Which filter works for this machine. I note you list the "Mavea Intenza Water Filter for Gaggia" which is the filter that came with the machine for $19.99 each but also show the
"Aqua Prima Water Filter" at 4 for $39 and say that is for the Gaggia platinum. What's the difference? Is one better than the other? Also, what cleaning products should I use for cleaning the brew unit? Thanks.

mjackson ♦ Both will fit. The difference is really that the Mavea is a better water softener then the Aqua Prima. We may be changing the price to set up so you can get a four pack of the Maveas. The Mavea is a newer design and will perform better.
techkathy Kathryn,
We looked at the machine specs on a couple of different websites but they did not specify the filter type needed for your machine. Saeco does have a commercial division that should be able to tell you which filter is best for your machine and where you can purchase them locally. Visit www.saeco-usa.com or call them at 1-800-933-7876
is ther one designed to be used inside the Gaggia Classic water reservoir? I currently use water to fill my water reservoir from the filtered water/icemaker of our refrigerator/freezer. Despite this, we do have hard water and I decalcify regularly. The water quality in our area is not the greatest so every little bit helps the longevity of my equipment.

techkathy Anne,
The aqua prima water filters only fit into Gaggia super-automatic machines. The Gaggia Classic is a semi-automatic. There is not currently a filter that is designed specifically for the Classic model. Just make sure that the water you use has a low mineral content.
how often should these be changed? do they have an indicator that shows when they need to be replaced?

TechMilanoItalia The manufacturer recommends replacing the Aqua Prima filter every 3 months. There is a little red indicator on the top of the filter that you would set to reflect the replacement date when you install a new filter.

Michael Rosso ♦ Leslie...You are correct, the Aqua Prima Water Filters do fit the Gaggia Platinum Vision. If you have anymore questions please feel free to contact us directly at 1-888-411-5282 option 1. Thanks.
