This compact machine has a durable stainless steel body and attractive tri-colored LCD display. Measuring only 10”W x 16.5”D x 12.5”H, the Syntia SS is one of the smallest super-automatic espresso machines in its class, but beneath its diminutive frame is a network of advanced technological features that make for an impressive brewing experience.
The Syntia SS is equipped with a ceramic disc grinder and bypass doser, so you’ll be able grind fresh beans or brew using pre-ground coffee. For some, from bean to cup may also include freshly steamed or frothed milk. To cater to latte and cappuccino drinkers, the Syntia SS has been built with Rapid Steam Technology and a stainless-steel Pannarello steam wand. This machine includes a 1 year warranty directly through Saeco.
Grinder, Hopper and Bypass Doser
The Syntia SS has a built-in ceramic disc grinder with 5 grind settings. The grinder has an automatic shut-off safety feature for safe operation. Saeco’s Optidose feature is available to let you fine-tune the grind volume for every shot. You can choose to dose 6.5-10.5 grams of coffee per shot to make mild, medium or bold espresso.
This model is has an 8-ounce hopper with anti-UV coating and an airtight lid to help keep your beans fresh. If you prefer to brew using pre-ground coffee, the Syntia SS can also accommodate your preference, since it has an integrated bypass doser.
Controls and Tri-Color Display
The Saeco Syntia SS has an eye-catching tri-color display and two programmable drink buttons, so preparing espresso, coffee and other specialty beverages is quick and easy. To program the machine, simply hold down the desired drink button until the appropriate amount of coffee is dispensed. The Syntia SS will remember your drink preferences and replicate the beverage each and every time, unless you reprogram the drink settings. The display will let you know what the machine is doing and alert you when it needs to be cleaned or refilled.
Saeco Aroma System
A patented pre-infusion cycle, called the Saeco Aroma System, lets you extract the most flavor and aroma out of your coffee. Choose to turn the Aroma System on, off or prolong it to achieve the desired results. The longer the pre-infusion, the bolder the resulting coffee.
Optidose
The Optidose system lets you select the amount of coffee used per shot (6.5-10.5 grams of coffee) to control beverage strength. The more coffee you use, the stronger the resulting espresso.
Steaming and Frothing
The Saeco Syntia SS comes with a redesigned stainless steel Pannarello steam wand, which also doubles as a hot water dispenser. It will let you steam and make micro froth for specialty drinks with ease.
Boiler
The Saeco Syntia SS has a stainless-steel lined ThermoBlock boiler with Rapid Steam Technology. The advanced boiler system channels water through the heating element for quick warm ups and efficient operation.
Water Reservoir and Filtration
This Saeco model uses an Intenza Water Filter to eliminate minerals and impurities from your tap water. Not only does this result in better tasting beverages, it will also help to reduce scale build up and prolong the life of your machine. The Syntia SS is equipped with a 40-ounce removable water reservoir.
Removable Brew Group
The Syntia SS has a removable brew group for hassle-free maintenance. The group can be rinsed under tap water to eliminate coffee residue and debris.
