Features

An effortless fusion of form and function, the Saeco Talea Giro Plus super-automatic espresso machine delivers modern aesthetics backed by sophisticated brewing technology. Redesigned from the Talea Giro, this model has been upgraded to include a bypass doser and an additional two grind settings to accompany the integrated ceramic disc grinder. With more choices, you’ll be able to better adjust grind fineness or skip the grinder altogether in favor of pre-ground coffee.

The Talea Giro Plus comes standard with Saeco’s Brewing, Rapid Steam, Aroma, and Cleaning systems to ensure consistent and efficient operation. A trademark for Saeco espresso machines, the Giro Plus retains a simple, minimalist interface that allows for easy programming. Creature comforts including a sliding wheel base for increased mobility and accessibility, as well as Touch Lift Technology that allows users to adjust drip-tray height to accommodate a variety of cup sizes make the Talea Giro Plus a solid choice for espresso lovers.

Ceramic Disc Grinder

The Saeco Talea Giro Plus has a durable ceramic disc grinder with an auto shutoff safety feature. This model has five grind fineness options, as opposed to the Talea Giro, which only had three grind settings.

Doser and Bypass Doser

With the Saeco OptiDose feature, you’ll be able to take advantage of the adjustable 7-10.5 gram doser to regulate the amount of beans ground per serving and customize your dosage. The Talea Giro Plus has been upgraded to include a bypass doser to accommodate pre-ground coffee; this is also a great option to have for decaf coffee drinkers.

Saeco Brewing System

The Saeco Brewing System (SAS) lets you control the strength and consistency of your beverages with just the turn of a dial.

Saeco Aroma System

The Saeco Aroma System is a programmable pre-infusion process that infuses coffee grounds with hot water prior to brewing to ensure maximum flavor and aroma extraction. You can activate, deactivate, or prolong the pre-infusion cycle to achieve the desired results.

Rapid Steam®

Saeco’s Rapid Steam lets you go from brewing to steaming in a flash. The steam wand has a Pannarello attachment to perfect milk texture; it also doubles as a hot-water dispenser. For those who indulge in a lot of lattes and cappuccinos, the Talea Giro Plus is compatible with the Saeco Milk Island.

Easy Clean System

The brew group can be detached for easy maintenance; simply rinse under running water for chemical-free cleaning.

Water Reservoir and Filter

An Intenza Water Filter comes with the removable 57oz reservoir to remove scale, mineral and other impurities—leaving you with great tasting coffee.

Drip Tray, Wheel Base, and Cup Warmer

The Talea Giro Plus has a removable drip tray that can also be manually raised and lowered to cater to different-sized cups. In addition, this model has a sliding wheel base, allowing users to swivel and rotate the machine with ease. A passive cup warmer, located atop the Talea Giro Plus can accommodate up to six espresso cups.

If you would like to know a little about the many types of espresso machines we sell, this would be a good video to get you started. This video covers the machines we sell and based on your lifestyle, what you like to drink, and ease of use. It will give you an overview of different espresso machines and help you determine which one best suits to your needs.

I would watch the video and focus on a particular kind of machine—prosumer, semi-automatic, and super-automatic to decide which kind is ideal for you. Then, you can go and look at individual models to get a better idea of exactly what you want. Of course, if you narrow it down to a few espresso machines and are still undecided, give us a call and we would be glad to help!

Do not buy this machine it will waste half of your coffee. There is a major flaw with this product, for some unknown reason when it grounds coffee it determines that the batch of ground coffee is unacceptable so it’s immediately dumped (wasted), unfortunately it does this about 50% of the time, a little less with less oily beans. If you don’t mind having half your beans wasted this is a good machine.

Does the Saeco Talea Giro Plus have adjustments for water temperature and water hardness?

DRuff Hello Michelle. Although a good brewing machine, the Talea Giro Plus does not offer the ability to adjust temperature or water hardness. You would need to go up a model to the Talea Touch Plus to have these features. To name a few, the machine does have some great features such as the ceramic burr, bypass doser, and SAS brewing system. Don’t hesitate to give us a call at 88-411-5282 should you have any additional questions.

What power supply is required? Will it run on a standard 120 outlet?

Also, what fully automatics are available that run on US 110 outlets and have a by-pass for pre-ground coffee?

Thank you for your assistance.

mjackson ♦ Robert,

All of our machines are made to work on a normal 110 outlet. Many of the machines also have a Bypass doser. If you read about each one or watch our videos you will see which ones have the bypass doser option, as well as one that may work best for you

mjackson ♦ Alfred,

I did a search and it is hard to find reviews as you must have noticed. The few I did mange to find gave it pretty good reviews. I would give our sales department a call so they can go over a few different machines and help you find one that best suits your needs and budget.

My wife would like an automatic espresso maker that has the steam wand with side access. We have a Saeco Magic and she doesn't like the limited access that the front location provides.

Does this system have a side or front access to the wand? It's hard to tell from the pictures. I realize that the milk pitcher provides an alternative for latte and cappucino, but she also steams other concoctions and doesn't like the Magic's design.

thanks.

Michael Rosso ♦ Robert....Thank you for your interest in the Saeco Talea Giro Plus. The steam wand is attached on the side, but it is angled to provide brewing access from the front. Thanks and happy brewing

mjackson ♦ Robert,

I think your wife makes a good point in regards to the steaming wand. I think the one to look at based on your needs would be the Gaggia Titanium . It has a wand that goes off to the side as well as a flap so you can even go a little higher. It is on sale and a great deal. Its steam wand set up is unique. Here is a link to a video that shows you how it works - http://www.wholelattelove.com/videos.cfm?vtid=0&vbid=5&vcid=0&vscid=0&playvidID=204#videotop

I think this machine will make you all happy

What are the differences between Talea and Odea models?

0

Vote

0

Zack Smith Jiyong, Thank you for the question. There is many differences between the two. In order to be able to tell you the exact difference I would need the exact models you are looking at. The Talea models have more programmable options than the Odea. Also a big difference between the two is that the Talea one touch has a touch screen versus the Odea which are push buttons. All the machines will product a quality shot of espresso. The higher price machines have more programability. If you have any more questions please feel free to contact me i would be more than happy to go over the machines in depth with you. 888-411-5282 ex 5193.
