Hello fiends. I´m new on this espresso world and I´ve just bought: Expobar office control Rancilio rocky md grinder What would you recommend for cleaning and maintenance? what products and what periodicity? Thanks in advance!!! JF
ShaneAncefsky-Sales aswered:
Hello, Thank you for the question.  We will first start off with the Expobar.  First, you will want to backflush the machine every 10-14 days.  This is achieved by using a backflush dic(Basket with no holes in it) and a cleaner such as Cafiza.  This will clean the group head and remove... more

Question by Jose R.

Would I also need a descale product for my Rancilio Silivia or would these tablets suffice?
Maggie aswered:
Those are actually for machines with a brew unit cleaning cycle-your best bet would be something like the Urnex Cleancaf or Durgol Swiss Espresso Cleaner to descale your machine.

Question by Stefano M.

What's the difference between this product and a descaler product? Can I use this on the semi-automatic Gaggia Evolution? If yes how it works?
techkathy aswered:
Cleaning tablets are meant to clean out any coffee residue in the machine. Descaling clears out any mineral build up in the boiler and other internals of the unit.
Stefano aswered:
Thanks, Can this product be used on the gaggia evolution? how do I use it?
Maggie aswered:
The Evolution is a semi-automatic machine, and so these would not be necessary to use with your machine, as it does not have a brew unit. The best thing to use to clean your machine is Gaggia Decalcifier or Durgol Swiss Espresso Cleaner.
