Features

The thermometer is another crucial, yet commonly, overlooked tool for espresso lovers. Clip it to the inside of the frothing pitcher and watch the dial. Using a thermometer takes the guesswork out of frothing and steaming. Note: These thermometers are a commercial style. They do not have an absolute zero point. The dial may rest as far back as the 200° mark when cool.

Tip: Your milk should reach (but not exceed) 160°.

I love this thermometer! Have owned many over the years and this is the best by far. Large dial is VERY easy to read, and it responds quickly and smoothly as you steam. I usually steam very small batches (I prefer macciatos and cappucinos) and the temperature tends to go up very quickly - this thermometer really keeps up so no mistakes with overheating. Even though this is probably a few $ more than you can buy one for, this is definitely worth the difference.

Everyone needs this in their inventory to keep milk at their favorite temperature. Also a nice gift for the beginner.
