First Place - Albert V.Congratulations to Al Vista from Holly Springs, N.C. and Uri Katan of Israel--winners of the Whole Latte Love Third Annual Latte Art Contest--which asked our talented baristas to create latte art on their favorite coffee drinks. Both winners showed great creativity - pouring beautiful art and capturing your online votes.

Vista will receive a Dalla Corte Mini for placing first in the competition. For placing second in the competition, Katan will receive a Gaggia Baby Twin.

Creating the perfect latte art requires a combination of quality ingredients and the right technique. Plus, a lot of practice! It all begins with a perfectly brewed, crema-dense shot of espresso, followed by heating and steaming the milk and creating perfect microfoam, and finally, using the foam much like an artist uses paint to create unique and beautiful coffee art.
Second Place - Uri K.

Referring to his winning video, Vista said it took about 20 takes over a period of a month to get the one that he used for the video. Now the grand prize winner, who presently owns a Pasquini Livia 90, will get a brand new Dalla Corte to practice his latte art. Vista became a Whole latte Love member about five years ago and says he visits the site a couple times a week to see what’s new and check out the articles.

Runner-up Uri Katan became interested in coffee about five years ago, which led him to the Whole Latte Love website, which he says he visits on a regular basis. Now he teaches latte art classes in Israel. When asked if he presently owned an espresso machine, Katan admitted his present machine is old, and he is looking forward to his new Gaggia Baby Twin.

Whole Latte Love would like to offer a special thank you to everyone who entered the contest, and of course a special thank you to all of the voters. As in the past, our Latte Art Contest created quite a buzz.
