Once the video department finished filming the Jura-Capresso J9 One Touch super-automatic espresso machine, they sent it to the sales office for us to use (or as we call it: “to play with!”).

Let me first say that this machine is anything but a “TOY”. Jura has obviously put a lot of thought into this machine. Everything from the very clear and easy to read TFT color display screen, to the width adjustable coffee spouts which allow easy brewing into wider mouth cups has been designed for a great user experience.

While setting this machine up, and looking into the generously sized 9oz bean hopper, I noticed a grate that keeps the beans from sticking together. The water reservoir is very easy to fill at the machine from the top by lifting the access cover or you can remove the reservoir easily by sliding it up and out of the machine to fill it at the sink.

I have been able to quickly make and enjoy so many different drinks with the Jura J9 espresso machine including cappuccinos, espressos, latte macchiatos, coffees, steamed milk and hot water by using either the interactive TFT display or the rotary selector.

The stainless steel thermal milk container, which will keep the milk cold for up to 8 hours outside the refrigerator, connects to the steam wand to make using the never-move-the-cup one touch for milk based drinks so easy.

If you are looking for a thoughtfully designed super-automatic one touch espresso machine, I recommend the Jura-Capresso J9. I know I will miss the J9 when it is removed from our sales office. Happy brewing!
