Barista TV!? Well, more of an exploitation-reality-show about the life and tradition of being a barista. The premise is to feature baristas and their lives in a new series. Baristas Coffee Company, Inc. announced the signing of a contract with M&M Productions for the development of a reality television series based on the Baristas Coffee Company business and the drama-filled lives of Baristas’ young, attractive, theme-costumed, female employees.

Mark Mayer of M&M Productions, who has had a lot of success in the television industry, has signed on to produce the show. He has been involved in the Million Dollar Challenge, the most watched poker show in television history. He is an Emmy award winner and has produced shows featuring Keith Olbermann, Dick Vitale, Jesse Ventura, Jay Mohr, Dennis Miller and many more.

Mark envisions the show going something like this - It profiles the fierce competition between Baristas (attractive girls who wear provocative costumes while preparing specialty coffee beverages and other concoctions) for top shifts as well as the opportunities and challenges faced by the management while expanding the business. There is no lack of drama in documenting the daily lives of top Baristas, as the stakes are high and each Barista will stop at nothing to ensure that they have the best shift, and earn top dollars in the very lucrative position as a “Baristas”

I certainly think this show will raise some eyebrows in the coffee community and it does sound like fun to watch. I am sure of one thing; it will be radically different from my videos! Until next time have a great cup of coffee!
