When I think of margarita’s I think of cool, refreshing and somewhat tart. This recipe is more creamy, smooth and sweet but still uses the staple ingredient of a margarita – tequila! This makes a perfect dessert drink for any day of the year.

This recipe yields 2 servings.

Ingredients:

  • 2 shots brewed espresso
  • ¼ cup blanco (white) tequila
  • ½ cup coffee ice cream, softened
  • ½ cup chocolate ice cream, softened
  • Ice

Rim (Optional)

  • Chocolate syrup
  • Finely chopped chocolate

Preparation:
First, brew the two shots of espresso then pour into cocktail shaker. Add the tequila, ice cream and ice and shake until smooth. Rim chilled glasses by moistening the rim with syrup then dipping the rim in the chocolate. Pour and serve immediately.

Debra Thomas Is there a non-alcoholic version for this....besides just leaving out the tequila? Is there something that can be used in place of the tequila?

Thank you
Deb
