Gaggia MDF
Gaggia MDF

I bought a Gaggia MDF grinder from you along with a Baby Twin in early June. Whatever mechanism that causes the lever in the doser on the grinder to automatically rebound broke this morning so I have to push it back by hand. Is this easily repaired? Can you tell me how to do it?
Thanks.

TechMilanoItalia Richard, we will e-mail you out some instructions to see if we can get that taken care of easily at home. It may just be a matter of a spring that has come disengaged.

It's really true. My name is Coffee and I love many big and little Coffees and I have really fallen for espresso. I look forward to getting up each morning so I can try something new in my Baby Twin.

This is outstanding coffee. I don't know if I'll ever find any I like better. It's rich tasting and smells like heaven ought to.

should I back flush the baby twin?

TechMilanoItalia We would not recommend backflushing the smaller Gaggia machines as they are not designed for that type of cleaning. Using a descaler like Urnex Cleancaf or Durgol Swiss Espresso Descaler every 2-3 months would be sufficient.

I was stunned at how good this coffee is. It foams up like a good draft beer. And it tastes really good. The flavor really holds up in milk.

Gaggia Latte Art Pannarello Wand
Gaggia Latte Art Pannarello Wand

I'm very pleased with the improvement the inner wand makes in making micro foam. The wand that came with my Baby Twin worked pretty well but this is outstanding. Too bad it's not stainless steel - it would look nicer. But I'm not complaining.

Gaggia Baby Twin
Gaggia Baby Twin

I got a new baby twin from wholelattelove about 2 weeks ago and I really like it. The more I use it the better it gets. Except ---- it doesn't seem to handle ese pods very well - it takes at least a minute, maybe more to get a shot pulled - even if I presoak the pod. Am I doing something wrong or is this just to be expected? I don't plan to buy any more pods but I'd like to use the few I have left. They are Starbucks.
Thanks.

TechMilanoItalia Try using the single-shot basket to give you better flow through the pod. Some pods are packed very tightly and will not allow for good water flow.

I recently bought this wand - the rubber pieces inside look slightly different than the wand I got on my baby twin. Do you have installation instructions for the Art Wand?

TechMilanoItalia It would go on the same as the original wand. From the top: screw cap, hard plastic gasket, soft rubber gasket, and center part. You can then slide the outer sleeve on (if you wish), or leave it off as we would recommend for the best microfoam.
