Bodum Unbreakable Chambord
The origional Chambord coffee press had a permanent filter between press and retainer. I don't see this in current models. It makes a big difference in producing clear coffee.
What's the scoop? Can you still get the filter?

Gaggia Sync Compact
Today while I was making a coffee in my wonderful Gaggia super-automatic, a nasty "squealing" noise occurred, which I had never heard before. I turned the machine off, pulled out the brew group, cleaned it and everything else I could see. The noise did more or less go away, though there was still a bit of a remnant. I have performed descaling once, when I was instructed to do so, and I try to clean the brew group every so often.

Whole Latte Love Staff This is an issue of lubrication. The brew unit needs to be lubricated with food edible grease. This will solve the problem of the squealing brew unit. You can purchase this product by calling us at 1-888-411-5282 and asking for a tube of Petro Gel grease.

Capresso C1000
I just purchased the Capresso C1000 and I absolutely love it. Straight forward and easy to use. My only problem is that after foaming milk I have a hard time getting the machine to reset to coffee making. I follow the instructions in the book and whether or not the machine resets appears to be entirely random. Often it takes me 7 or 8 tries before the reset "takes". Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

After frothing your milk, you want to make sure that you’re closing the steam wand before you start the "resetting" process. After it is closed, place a container under the frothing wand, turn the selector switch to the steam/hot water position and press the hot water button. This should release the remaining steam which will turn into a stream of hot water, and the machine will stop itself automatically. At this point you should be ready to brew again by turning the selector switch back to the brewing position. If you are following these steps precisely and you are still experiencing a problem, you should call Capresso for more information at 800-767-3554.
