How has the X7.1 been with reliability? Are there any of the other Illy capsule machines that perform better?

mjackson ♦ People have been happy with the Francis Machine and they are a sister company of Illy. So it is hard to imagine of a better suited machine as it really is Illy doing all the design. I think you will be happy.

There are some differences. The X7 has more metal, a better steam wand as well as a brass boiler. The less expensive 7.1 has a thermal block boiler and is not as heavy or as heavy duty as its more expensive counter part. I hope this helps.

Can this machine be used with regular ground coffee (not capsules)?
