This is the standard portafilter that comes with every Rancilio Silvia espresso machine. It is 1 pound of chrome plated brass that is a full commercial 58mm in diameter.
Hello. Will this fit in my Gaggia Carezza? And fit the baskets I have (that came with my Gaggia)? I need a new portafilter because the handle on mine is cracked and I am afraid it is very close to breaking completely. I am hoping this one will hold up better than the Gaggia one...if it will fit. Thanks! :)

I am told that Ineed the portafilter with the black pin that sticks up in the hole in the bottom. The one we got when we bought the silvia from you doesn't have one and the expresso is weak. Does the basic one you sell as a part on your website have this black pin in it?

Michael Rosso ♦ William...I believe the black pin your are talking about is the pin that is part of the Gaggia pressurized brew basket. The Silvia does not come with a pressurized brew basket. Your weak espresso is mostly likely due to espresso grinds not ground fine or consistent enough or not enough tamp pressure. Thanks
Can the E61 Groupheads which gets such rave feviews work with the Silva?

Zack Smith Dennis, Nice talking to you a few minutes ago. The E61 does not work on the Silvia but does come with the Expobar line. When you look for a machine with the PID you have to look at the brewtus IV. If you have any more questions feel free to give me a call.
I bought my Silvia in 2003 from you. Will this portafilter fit the model from 2003?

Does this portafilter come with the baskets? (I really only need the double shot basket)

mjackson ♦ No it does not come with a basket but you can buy either a single or a double shot basket to go with your portafilter.
I am looking to replace the standard, but also noticed the upgrade with the single shot option....
we never fill two at once as we never get that much espresso coming out....any cons with the single?

Zack Smith Marlo, There is not any negatives with the single portafilter. If you only fill one cup at a time the the single will work great for you. The double does not effect performance, it just allows you to be able to fill two cups at once. Happy Brewing!
I was given a Francis Francis X1 (black) expresso machine. There is no filter holder that came with it. I am not sure which filter I need. Can you help me? The back of the machine states that it is X1-011275. I am not sure if there are any other missing parts.

WholeLatteLoveRep1 Hello Kathleen, You can get a filter basket for your Francis Francis X1 machine though Empire Fulfillment. They do non warranty technical support and service for those machines. The number to reach them is 877-855-4540.

I am sorry it will not fit. The only portafilter that will fit your machine will be the Gaggia portafliter. I am sorry you are having problems with your handle. Give us a call and we can help you get anew one.
