Made of Stainless Steel, the Rattleware Angular Tamper features highly durable, impact resistant ABS handles. Available with a 53, 57 and 58 millimeter base. Helpful hint: Measure the inside of your portafilter insert to guarantee the proper fit of the tamper. Height from base to top of handle is 3 inches. Weight approximately 1 lb.

Rattleware Angular Tamper
I got this tamper with my Expobar Office Lever Plus and absolutely love the thing. Both me and my girlfriend use it all the time and love the weight as well as how even of a tamp we get with it. I definitely recommend it. Great for the price too!

How is the rattleware tamper compared to the ultimate tamper for my gaggia baby?

mjackson ♦ They both will work and are good tampers. The Ultimate tamper is heavier and you may enjoy the heftiness of it more. I like the looks of the rattleware a bit more. If you think a heavier tamper will serve you better go with the ultimate tamper.
Rattleware Angular Tamper
I just received my order today order#1324278. I purchased this Tamper based on your sales persons recommendations who told me i needed a 58mm. Well it is too big for my porta filter in my Sylvia Rancillio. I called and the Customer Rep was so Rude to me and said I could not return this for the correct size. Well this just leaves a bad feeling with me.

My porta filters measure 2 1/2 inches from rim to rim - which size tamper would I get?

Michael Rosso ♦ Karen...Thank you for a great Super Wall question. To determine what size tamper you need for your machine, you will first need to measure the inner diameter of your Brew Basket. The 2 1/2 inch measurement you gave me (For the the Rim to Rim measurement of your portafilter) converts to 63.5mm. I hope this helps. Thanks.

What is the difference between the Rattleware Angular Tamper and the other Rattleware Tampers?
