My titanium is brewing incredibly slow. I've disassembled the thing, cleaned everything that could be cleaned (including the grinder) and reassembled it. It gives frequent (every 2-3 cups) ventilate errors, but ventilating doesn't help. Grind is fairly coarse. I've had it for 6 years almost - is the pump going out? Other suggestions?

techkathy It is possible that the pump is wearing out. But you can do a quick experiment to see if the water curcuit is blocked. hit the bypass button (looks like a scoop), don't add any coffee, then hit the medium coffee button. If water flows through then its either the grind is too fine or the pump is weakening.

I'm interested n the titanium super automatic or maybe the office super automatic, for home use. What's the difference? Is the office superautomatic really superior or stronger or more functional in some way, or is it just a cosmetic difference of tray size, etc

A A Robert,
The only difference between the Office Super and the regular Titanium is the large dredge drawer. Other than that, the machine itself is identical.

I own a small coffee shop. Does approx. 60 espresso drinks per day. Would you recommend this machine for that kind of usage? I currently am using Thermoplan Black & White, but have gone through of them and they both seem to have the same issue. Overheating and no steam. I am frustrated beyond comprehension with them. I need a full automatic machine (to make it idiot proof) for my employees as I am not always there. What would recommend?

This Gaggia has less power then the current machine you own. You need to give me a call and I can direct you to some options. You need a commercial machine. My name is Mark Jackson I can be reached at 1-888-411-5282 Ext 5196

What is the difference between the Gaggia Titanium, Gaggia Titanium Office & Gaggia Titanium Commercial? Also, how do these compare to the Jura J5?

mjackson ♦ Clifton,

It is a good question and there can be some confusion over the different machines, There is no difference between the Gaggia Titanium Commercial and the regular machine. It is the same machine. The Titanium office is the same machien but with a larger drip tray and also dredge drawer to hold the spent coffee pucks. It holds about three times as much as the regular Titanium. In comparison to the J5 the Titanium has a lot of stainless steel. The J5 does not. Here is another difference the J5 has - the Jura Capresso Impressa J5 will serve as your own personal coffee shop. You have the choice to manually froth or steam your milk using the patented Dual Frother Plus wand, or you can have the J5 automatically steam or froth for you using the included FrothXpress. Both produce outstanding results in just moments, making the J5 an indispensable machine when entertaining guests who love espresso. You can even customize the coffee spout when brewing 1 or 2 cups by moving the dispensing nozzles closer together or farther apart, depending on your needs. The Jura will also give you 16 grams of coffee at maximum dose, where the Titanium maxes out a 10.5 grams per dose. Both machines give you a lot of programming options and are very similar in that respect. I hope this helps and let us know if you have any more questions.

My Titanium brews each shot very quickly, about 10-15 seconds and the espresso is a bit weak. Is there a way to adjust this or does my machine need repair?

Michael Rosso ♦ Jim...Try and start by adjusting your grinder to a finer setting. Then increase the amount of grams of coffee in your shot. Thanks.

I have used Saeco super automatic coffee makers for about ten plus years. I currently have three in use. One in my home, lake home, and office. They are Royal Digital Plus. One is ready to be replaced and I am considering the Gaggia Titanium Office. Do you think I will be making a good choice?

mjackson ♦ Clark,

Out of all the Saeco machines the Royal is my favorite. I think they seem to be very durable. I do like the Titanium and feel it is a very good machine and it is better looking. It is a tough call. I do like the Royal and if it is what you are used to then it may be the way to go.

Is the Commercial Titanium Office plumbed for water or is it just identical to the regular version with the dreg drawer below?

mjackson ♦ Andrew,

There is not a plumb kit available for the Titanium series. The main difference as you stated is the larger dredge drawer.Part of the larger dredge drawer is also a much larger drip drawer. These are good machines and also look very nice as well as a strong performer. Let us know if you have any more questions.

The shots from my Gaggia Titanium are pouring extremely slow. Is the boiler going out?

I've had it for about 5 or 6 years now.

mjackson ♦ Anthony,

It could be a few things. It could be oily beans. it could be a dirty grinder, it could be your check ball is dirty, could be scale. I am going to email you a bunch of cleaning tips and lets see what that does. Try the cleaning tips suggested and let us know how it works out or if you need some more help.
