mjackson ♦ David, The Classic is a lot of fun to use as it is tried and true classic and also brews a great shot. The size tamper you will need is a 58 mm tamper. This tamper will work with all the Gaggias.

Thanks for thinking of us. You have a great machine. You will need a 58 mm tamper and you are correct. I really like the Rattleware Large handle tamper for the money.

I'm buying a new espresso machine (Miss Silvia). The portafilter is indicated to be 58mm. Do I want a 58mm tamper or would a 57mm be better?

Michael Rosso ♦ Alan...Tamper size is the same size as the portafilter size. So for the Silvia you will need a 58 mm portafilter. Thanks
