I just took out & cleaned the brew group on my saeco vienna plus for the first time, and i noticed on the bottom of it and a little on the lower sides there was a fair amount of sticky gel, is that somehow from the coffee or is that just like a gel that is put in from the maker to help with lubrication or something. should i try cleaning it all off? or just leave it because it helps the machine work right. thanks!!
I just got this saeco a few days ago and have made about 10 shots so far on the 4-5 grind level & pretty much every other time i press the brew coffee button it will give me the red error light which according to the directions means no beans or no water, but both are full. i dont know what to do after this other than to turn off the machine & try again. is this just normal for the first several uses of a new machine? or should this not be happening, because this is getting a little annoying on a $400 machine for this to happen on 50% o more of its use. the beans im currently using are "Segafredo Zanetti Espresso Casa Whole Bean" which should be appropriate. thanks for your help.
I have a Saeco Sirena & I love my Capachino's in the AM & late evening. I'm in the market for another and have been looking for some time when I came across this machine on immediately went to Saeco to research. I'm on my 2nd machine in 15 yrs & Saeco has taken great care of me with any issue! how can you sell this machine for such low cost of buying it from Saeco & what is the difference in the 2 machines. . is there much comparison to this machine and the Sirena. Mine does not have the option to grind but my next one will. Thank you in advance.

I'm interested in both this, and the Breville XL espresso machines, but I'm wondering how the cleaning differs for each using the urnex? I've been a barista using a few diff types of machines, and with the Breville type I'm assuming I'd deposit the urnex into the group head and back flush? But how about with this model?
Does this machine have an automatic turn off or must you always turn it off manually?

Hello! Does this machine have a plastic or metal cabinet?
specs for the SAECO vienna plus and can i make flex payments?
up to when is the sale effective?
The answers given to Gabrielle and Linda regarding making an Americano seem to differ. One says you can adjust the size of the cup up to 8 oz. The other says you need to add hot water with the steam wand. Which is correct?
Thanks,
Karen
can I attach the Saeco Automatic Milk Frothing Attachment (Cappuccinatore Kit) on this model?
Does this machine make a 6 ounce or larger cup of coffee as well as espresso shots? If yes, can you brew either kind with just the touch of a button or is reprogramming required? Can you control the amount of steam that comes out or is it just an on/off option?
techkathy The gel is food safe lubricant. Leave it on the brew unit. It keeps the machine from squeaking while brewing and keeps the brew unit motor from becoming too strained. Click on the link below to see a short video on the lubricating process.
