I also am wondering if this will work with a Gaggia Classic. I have the pressurized basket, but I've lost the tiny plastic tip that comes with it. I'm currently using the regular basket which gives me great shots and would like to stick with it. This grinder is in my price range. If Tiago Proenca had good results it would be great to know.

It may work if you do not use a dark oily coffee. If it does not work well get the Gaggia pressurized filter basket. This will really help if you do not have a fine enough grind. http://www.wholelattelove.com/Gaggia/ga_pressurized_filter_basket.cfm
I was just looking at this grinder today! It says that it can grind fine enough for espresso but what is your expert recommendation?

mjackson ♦ Shawn, It will make a fine grind. It will really depend on if you use a pressurized basket or portafilter. If you use that then yes it will work reasonably well. If you use a commercial portafilter and basket it will not be able to get you where you want to go. You may want to consider a Gaggia MDF, Rocky or a Baratza Preciso. These grinders will work well with a commercial style set up.
What's the best burr grinder for a french press. I'm leaning toward the Bodum, but I'm not sure. Also, what's the difference between a conical burr grinder and a flat burr grinder. Thankyou, Kelley.

mjackson ♦ Jose for the machines you are talking about which I am assuming are stove top espresso machines, you would want to use a fine grind coffee in order to make a good espresso.
Monday - Thursday: 9am-8pm
Friday: 9am-6pm
Saturday: 10am-3pm
Sunday: 12pm - 5pm

It may work with your machine. It will work best with a non oily espresso blend, or a non dark roast blend. It certainly will work with the pressurized basket. It is worth a shot.I think you may see different thoughts on using this grinder, some may say you should look at at least the Gaggia MDF. I would certainly try it.
