My Krups coffee pot is only a month old and today when I go to make coffee it has the symbol for "no water" but there is water in the pot. I unplugged it, dumped it out, waited 10 minutes and tried again - same result HELP!!

How can I turn on the hot plate to warm the carafe? Everytime I push "on", it signals that there is no water in the reservoir and stasrts flashing with a picture of an empty reservoir.

DRuff Hello Bob. Thank you for your question. We have not encountered this problem with the Krups hot plate and unfortunately do not troubleshoot the Krups machines. Typically problems with hot plates can be caused from water leakage, blown fuses, timers being off or another multitude of reasons. I would urge you to contact Krups directly at 1 800 526-5377. Krups FME2: Coffee maker keeps blinking 8888. Cannot get pass the 8888 to make coffee or to set any programming. Thanks.
