Sometimes I make a very nice single shot espresso but when I try to make a second one, no coffee/liquid will come through the filter. I have tamped the coffee exactly the same as the first time, but no coffee!! If I put the filter on without coffee in it, still no water will go through. If I let it dry for hours/days, it will usually work the next time. As the manual suggested, I took the filter apart and cleaned it and reassembled and the problem keeps happening sporadically. It is very unpredictable and doesn't happen every time. It is causing me to waste lots of coffee and get very frustrated. Advice for the newbie??
Hello! Does anyone know why water would stay pooled in my portafilter after I've pulled a shot? It just drips and drips; the puck is never anything remotely close to dry. In fact, it's pretty much pure liquid. I've cleaned and descaled everything I can think of, to no avail.
This is my first question to you guys, so sorry if it's been asked before. If so, I can't find the answer.
I'm trying to replicate the Starbucks Chai Latte for my wife, she loves them. I have the concentrate from starbucks, but I'm at a loss on how to prepare the milk. I think I have to use the frothing cup, but I'm not really sure. How can I use this machine to make Chai Latte's? I'm pretty sure I have to steam the milk, but that is the extent of my knowledge. Do I really need this machine to just make Chai Latte's? Is there another way to steam milk without buying an espresso machine?
I purchased this pump driven espresso/cappuccino make for my daughter for Christmas and it did not come with the coffee pod tool. Is it possible to purchase one and can it be used with this machine? I have one and use it all the time.
