Mahlkonig was founded in Hamburg, in the year 1924 as a family business making electric motors and evolved quickly into manufacturing grinders for a wide range of materials. Following the needs of a growing market they have for more than 50 years hence focused on grinding coffee. Mahlkonig is today recognized as the world leader in designing and manufacturing commercial and professional coffee grinders and along with their sister company Ditting dominate the coffee grinding machine industry. To support their products in North America they have established a sales, service, and technical center in Durham, NC.
