Famed Italian manufacturer DeLonghi introduces the Esclusivo EC702, a semi-automatic machine designed with the espresso lover in mind. Regardless of whether you prefer grounds or pods, the Esclusivo can deliver great tasting brews, with its patented Dual Function Filter Holder. The unit’s portafilter can accommodate two separate attachments—the Sempre Crema Filter, which works with ground coffee, and the E.S.E. Filter that can be used with pods.

If you’re a cappuccino or latte drinker, the Esclusivo’s Cappuccino System Frother is sure to please. The adjustable frother has an integrated chamber that circulates steam and milk, delivering a rich, velvety froth. Best of all, since the Esclusivo’s water and steam pressure are controlled by two separate thermostats you can make espresso or cappuccino at the perfect temperature for both!

Luciano asked:

I woud like to buy a Tamper, however, I do not know the size.  Please tell me the size of the Tamper that would fit the filter for the DeLonghi EC702.  Where or what site to use to buy parts(order) for my DeLonghi EC702?  Thank you very much..

Answer by techkathy:

IT has a 51mm portafilter.  You can contact DeLonghi USA at 1-800-322-3848 or They will be able to troubleshoot, send parts, or refer you to a repair center that is certified to repair the DeLonghi brand.

abozogh asked:

Do you have a recommendation for what pods are compatible with this machine? Is there a specific size that I need to watch out for?

Answer by Sanfam:

Any ESE pod should work fine with your machine.  In general, Illy-branded pods will be consistent across large batches and should give you the least trouble, but most other brands will work fine with a little bit of pre-infusion trickery (switching the brew button on and off to dampen the pod, then switching it back on again to brew).

Mark asked:

Please help: Is the quoted MIR rebate for the EC702 DeLonghi still valid possibley for later mail in per chance? It's quoted from (10/1/2012 - 12/31/2012 For Pump Espresso

Answer by mjackson:

It needs to be purchased within that time frame. You just have to have a receipt showing purchase within that time period. They give you additional time to respond and mail it in.

Mike asked:

I am looking at the DeLongi EC 702 vs the Gaggia Revolution.I noticed the DeLongi has a stainless steel boiler and the Gaggia has an Aluminum boiler. Is one a better option than the other .I am trying to decide which one to buy,

Answer by A:

Mike, Both of the machines work very well to make a quick and easy at home drink. I know there are a lot of people concerned with Aluminum contacting water, but there is no risk with these machines. Both of them heat up very quick will perform well for you.

If you would like to know a little about the many types of espresso machines we sell, this would be a good video to get you started. This video covers the machines we sell and based on your lifestyle, what you like to drink, and ease of use. It will give you an overview of different espresso machines and help you determine which one best suits to your needs. I would watch the video and focus on a particular kind of machine—prosumer, semi-automatic, and super-automatic to decide which kind is ideal for you. Then, you can go and look at individual models to get a better idea of exactly what you want. Of course, if you narrow it down to a few espresso machines and are still undecided, give us a call and we would be glad to help!
