Housed in a powder-coated, heavy-duty stainless steel body, the TS looks, feels, and performs like a professional-grade machine. Switch and knob-based controls are fully accessible from the front panel, to ensure hassle-free brewing, steaming, frothing, and hot-water dispensing. This unit also has 2.5-inches tall stainless steel legs with slip resistant feet for easy maintenance—allowing you to keep your kitchen counter clean.

Working with the philosophy that great espresso requires temperature precision, the TS has been built to deliver optimal brewing conditions. With its thermostat-operated, electrically heated brew group and precision engineered heat exchanger, the Gaggia TS offers excellent temperature stability. The Gaggia TS has a horizontally mounted copper boiler and 1500-watt heating element, to maintain temperature stability without overheating. The horizontal mount keeps the heating element submerged when hot water is in use, helping to prolong the life of the unit. In addition, the boiler has a generous 2.3 liter capacity to accommodate regular, heavy use and allow for quick heat-up and recovery. A pressure gauge, mounted on the front panel of the machine, allows you to keep an eye on the boiler pressure. If you’re a stickler for heat stability and temperature control, the Gaggia TS is a great choice. A commercial-grade heat exchanger has also been integrated into the unit to allow for simultaneous steaming/frothing and brewing.
The TS has an electrically heated brew group that is monitored and controlled by a dedicated thermostat to deliver optimal brewing conditions. This professional grade group is made of chrome-plated brass to ensure temperature stability and longevity.
Three-Way Solenoid Valve
Another commercial feature, the three-way solenoid valve relieves water pressure post extraction to dry out the coffee and prevent dripping. The TS’s three-way solenoid valve empties directly into the drip dray for mess-free operations.
Pressure Relief and Anti-Suction Valves
Critical to the longevity of the machine, the pressure relief valve is a safety feature that releases boiler pressure, should it get too high. The Gaggia TS also has an anti-suction valve that prevents milk from being drawn into the steam wand and boiler of the machine. This feature helps safeguard your steam wand from being clogged and prevents the boiler from being contaminated.
The Gaggia TS comes equipped with a four-hole, commercial steam tip to deliver café-style milk ideal for lattes, cappuccinos, macchiato, and more. The four-hole steam tip allows for better milk rotation and lets you evenly distribute the steam for superior milk consistency and texture. The steam wand can be swiveled for greater mobility, allowing it to accommodate different sized frothing pitchers. It is controlled by a dedicated steam knob, located on the front panel of the machine.
Two 58mm portafilters come included with the Gaggia TS. Both, the single and double spouted portafilters, are chrome-plated brass for increased durability and heat stability. A stainless-steel backflush disc is also included with the machine.
The Gaggia TS has an internal water reservoir that can be easily removed for hassle-free refilling and maintenance. An electronic low-water sensor has been integrated into the design of the reservoir. The sensor monitors water levels and an indicator light on the front panel will alert you when the reservoir needs to be refilled.
Hot Water Dispenser
The hot water dispenser can be swiveled left and right to meet your needs. It is controlled by a knob located on the left hand side of the front panel, which allows you to manage water flow. Take advantage of the hot water dispenser to make tea, Americano, soup, and more.
The Gaggia TS has a passive cup warmer located on the top of the machine. This integrated warmer allows you to pre-heat cups, properly prepping them for brewing. The cup warmer is made of stainless steel for easy cleaning and maintenance.
The TS comes with a set of four stainless steel legs with slip-resistant feet, a commercial feature, to elevate the machine. Raising the machine will allow you to easily clean spills and protect your counter surface from being damaged or stained.
Housing and Construction
The Gaggia TS has a stainless steel front panel and drip tray that allow for easy maintenance. The rest of the machine is made of durable and attractive silver powder-coated metal. A small Gaggia logo is visible on the front of the machine; the back showcases the brand name in big block letters.

If using for commercial use I would suggest the Mazzer Super jolly, or the Ceado E7 or 37 S, for home use think about the Baratza Vario or the Rancilio Rocky
can this machine be used in a restaurant?
It is able to be used in a medium capacity environment. But it would depend on local health codes/regulations.
So if this thing can't be descaled then that begs the question what do you do, how often, and how much does it cost and how easy is it to get this thing to a shop that can clean it for you as someone says you have to do since you cannot descale it.?
The proper care is backflushing regularly-with clean water at the end of the day's use and then with detergent once every week or two, depending on use, as well as using a water with a low mineral content (not distilled or reverse osmosis). They can be descaled-it is just quite difficult and something that it is easiest to have professionally done as opposed to doing so at home. It should be done, on average, about every 3-5 years.
